The Vancouver Canucks beat the Seattle Kraken 3-2 in a shootout. Kevin Lankinen, Liam Ohgren, Conor Garland and Elias Pettersson were the stars of the night for the canucks. Lanks was unreal in the shootout 17/17 this year.

As a British fan of the Canucks and hockey in general I fully understand that tanking to get good picks is a thing that happens. But the concept of it is still odd to me, I'm not sure if the skill gap between the best and worst guys in the league make it this way because if you don't do it every now and then you're so far adrift or if there's something else.

Lankinen stole this game, EP40 looked engaged and good. Boeser looked like he would struggle to keep up on family public skate. Debrusk scratch was warranted.

IMO you have to move one of Demko or Lankinen. Lots of teams need a goalie, and Canucks shouldnt be spending 12m+ during a rebuild.
Karlsson again. Ohgren again. EP40 bumps the slump. Lanks is a TANK in the SO. But Garly takes it for the extracurriculars.

Honestly. I am happy with the Hughes trade all things considered. Did we get a top tier player? No. Did we get 3 depth pieces that are helping our team more than 1 elite defenseman?
Yes, I think so. In terms of the totality of what they are bringing. I was skeptical at first, but all 3 guys are looking pretty good. Rossi really helped our center problems.
All i want is for the Canucks to make it into the playoffs and beat the oilers money, i could care less about the first pick, sand bagging is NOT a option!!!

Lankinen just has unmatched restraint and patience that doesn't really showcase itself in regular play, but really gives an edge in shootouts. He outwaits everyone and almost never bites on fakes. Opposing shooters coming 1 on 1 just always end up running out of room. That part of his skillset gives him a big edge in shootouts for sure.

I would love to get the first pick overall ….but it's still a lottery so …for all we know we could finish 32nd overall and still not get number 1 overall….so yah keep winning Canucks 😅😅 if doesn't matter when it a lottery system….

Try looking at the fucking stupid biased insane schedule with its devastating travel requirements..it would make a speed junkie tired..it’s why they get so many injuries..jet lag..it’s stupid..I doubt they know what day it is after some of their 6 game road-trips..to come home for one game, then back out the next day..I can’t even follow on tv..not to mention the biased officiating,.
These two goalies are ruining 'team tank'! They get injured when we need them and play lights out when we want them to lose!!
