Matthews makes $13M a year. His current performance is what is expected. What he is doing but is all fine and dandy but his talent level was never the issue. Now do it in the playoffs and don't look like a deer in the headlights in important postseason games.What's that? He's already had 9 chances to do so…and never has. Seems to me there is a name for giving him yet another chance to do so…
I with McCabe out as well as Tanev and Reilly is now “ unplayable “ it’s time to shut it down. Suspend Reilly until he demands a trade. Play the youth and see what you have. Trade Stolarz at the deadline for picks. This will be just a one year step back and retool in the off-season
