Islanders Defeat Toronto Maple Leafs | Game Recap
The New York Islanders pulled out a dramatic 4–3 overtime win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on January 3 at UBS Arena. Adam Pelech opening the scoring for New York and the teams traded goals through regulation. Toronto was powered by Auston Matthews, who scored twice. In the third period, the Islanders rallied as Matthew Schaefer scored to tie the game, Toronto briefly regained the lead, and Emil Heineman’s late power-play goal forced overtime. In extra minutes, Mathew Barzal set up Schaefer for his second goal of the night, sealing the comeback win for the Islanders in OT. New York’s persistence and Schaefer’s clutch scoring ultimately decided the game.

That was an exciting 3rd period and OT!
I had the pleasure to watch the game on t.v. and the excitement I had was awesome!!! Couldn’t imagine being there live. Nice job boys and Barzzzzy nice spin around assist that was sick!!!
