Nice trade
Better than nothing
Even though we all were rooting for the Sanheim STL trade to go thru a ac couple years ago, some of the best deals are the ones that did not happen…Thx Torey Krug for making this day a proudful day versus a regrettable one when actually one of our home grown players make the Olympic roster for Canada 😉
Too many penalties and they looked slow compared to the flames who seemed relaxed and a little quicker. Again we need better goal tending.😮😮😢😢
Ersson with another bad performance, he gave up four goals and only 14 shots. We have to face the fact the flyers have a serious backup goalie problem at this point they don’t play well in front of Rtsson and I don’t blame them. The guy is a total sieve.
How many times have they tried putting Zegras and Michkov together on the power play? I don’t recall them doing this that often. If at all. if you want to try something new, how about putting your five most skilled players out there on the power play?
Tomasino is complete garbage so this is a lateral move
I totally disagree with Barkey. He has been really good. We need guys who can score and we certainly need people to create. It’s not about a point a game. He can absolutely play on this team right now. There are other players that need to be evaluated and or moved.
Ersson cant stop a glove side shot to save his life. And teams know it. When hes in net the opposing team is firing everything high glove side all game long. And hes waiving at least 2-3 of them by every game
Continue to rebuild trade Dvorak and Risto at the trade deadline for good return like little bit Laughton trade first round picks and prospects
How Danny Briere and his super scout Brent Flahr are passing on talented player like Michael Hage and pick Jett Luchanko, its criminal 🥅🤦
Horrible! Losing to Neanderthal cavemen in the Canadian wilderness
#1 comment over time by Rachel 'I can see both sides'.
Hope Danny and management pick BPA in the 1st round then look for talent size and hockey IQ and players with that dog after a bone mentality.
Russ is so negative on tomasino …incredible ….what Russ was saying when Grundstrum has been trade to phily? i think Tomasino will play with the Flyers very soon
I agree. He seems to be down early too. The butterfly, in my opinion, makes a guy like Ersson susceptible to shots, if accurate, getting over his shoulders. And I agree that he has a lot of trouble to the glove side (several times I have seen the blocker side as well). I'm sure teams are watching film on him and know where they need to try to place shots on him. Like going upstairs left or right. I'm amazed at the long wristers he seems to let in when he even has an unobstructed view. Bottom line for me is I just think he's is either "hot" or "cold". Just my humble opinion here everyone. Coaching midget age amateur teams and goalies is a far cry from the NHL, I realize, but this is basic stuff we are talking about. Angles, line of sight, etc.
2nd half of a back-to-back while the Flames were not. The NHL needs to limit those, especially for road teams. The difference in goalies was stark — Ersson needs a ton of work. Down too early, his angles are bad. Either farm him to work on his game or give him a change of scenery. Barkey generates chances, Tippett out-skated 3 Canucks to get his empty net goal in VAN.
