Something to build on BUT…I care more about what we look like against a team having success and isn't gutted by injuries like these last 2 teams. Here's to that chance coming on Thursday in Detroit.
I didn't get a chance to watch the game and I'm glad they won 5-1. I watched the highlights and they showed the Pens gave up a fair amount of grade A chances that Skinner made some nice saves on. They've played better these last couple games but to say this game was a technical masterpiece is being dishonest or biased. The goal the Hurricanes scored was because of bad defense and then they almost gave up another goal because of bad defense right after that before the end of the period. I'm sure there's a lot of good to take away from this game as I saw some nice plays in the highlights but they still have a lot to work on defensively.

Hey Dano, cant wait for the 1:05pm live. Will be interesting to see how this third line works out once Chinakhov makes his debut….and 71 returns. I would suspect its going to be 59-81-18 but there are a lot of buts… Kindel needs a couple games off. He has the worst plus minus on the team, was the only minus player in a 7 goal game against Chi, the only minus player in the last two games in which 12 goals were scored total, and has generally become less effective. Id rather see Hayes at this point….who hasnt been good either, but adds more value to the team when clicking ie: Size, strength, puck control, shootouts, experience, ect.
Probably not a market to get our 2nd round pick (Chinakhov) back for Koivunen, but id take it, if it ever became available. Hes too weak on the puck and shows no signs of putting on size and strength.
Lizotte,Lizotte,Lizotte… He makes everyone on this team play faster… Muse has some tough decisions to make once Geno comes back…you can't take Novak out of the line-up…he's putting up points on the regular
Last two games show what happens when they play with the lead aggressively. They didn’t let off when they got the lead, which they haven’t up to these last two games.
I want the Penguins to either make the playoffs and win a round or loose and get a top 5 draft pick. Either way they will need to use their cap space wisely in the offseason and get Sid a cup next year!!
this game was blacked out for me because I'm in the Canes region but the radio broadcast really sounded like we were in control all night. played better than the canes at their own game.
We're seeing how much of an impact injuries had. J Braz is driving scoring. Their slump will keep them underrated the rest of the year. I also think Skinner is going to play really well on this team.
