I was over watching the game thru 2 periods. Fought against my instinct to turn it off because you just cant count the Avs out. LFG!

Never counted the Avs out pulled the game for the third knowing they’d be coming back and got their after we already scored. This team is too good.
Like what can ya say at this point? They have 2 real losses…AND WE WILL BE HALFWAY THROUGH THE SEASON IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS PEOPLE-JUST THINK ABOUT THAT! Not just 12 points up on Dallas with a game in hand…but 11 up on Minny WITH 3 GAMES IN HAND! That's the teams with 2nd,& 3rd best records in the NHL. And in very good tiebreaker shape on both teams right now. Nothing is perfect but they are as close to perfect as you can ever be. I mean you guys act like they got caved in 1st 2 periods..
It was basically an even 2 periods,& Makar arguably got slashed on that shorthanded goal,at end of a PP that was pretty good-as Bednar said. Then Burns stick blows up at end of the PK turning it into 5 on 3.5. Yes 3rd goal was bad by Toewes,& kinda Wedgewood-but it's a game of mistakes. Yes 3rd period was at different level-like usual. But basically every other team vs that opponent would consider 1st 2 periods at least pretty good overall. Have you seen Dallas process in some of these games they've pulled out last few wks -not great-especially 5 on 5. They are great at late comebacks & on PP but have been outplayed processwise in a lot of games recently.
And Ottenger (actually both goalies) has kinda bailed them out in a lot of games-last few weeks-sometimes just to steal 1 point when they should get nothing-other times for a win. And Anderson was pretty damn good through 2 periods also.They were playing the #1 team in the East -before tonight. I get it wasn't their A game through 2 periods but wasn't as bad as you are indicating in my opinion. No the top line wasn't great for sure-they actually got slightly outplayed. But overall as a team it was basically even-& fine processwise through 2 periods-especially considering the opposition.
If the pp is able to figure it out and string way more good games together than bad games, what realistically is their weakness? Injuries (ehich nobody can account for and will hit any team that it wants to)?
