No, I'm not in a sauna, it's a cabin, YES I'm annoyed at Binnington. Whatever. He better do this for Team Canada too. AGHAHGHGHGHGHHGHGHGHG
First one and not happy about what happened today 😕
You can’t be mad at this game
The Habs played well. No reason to be overly disappointed. TBH I was happy to see Binnington play this well. We need him good for the Olympics!
Plenty of long distance saves and others from bad angles, never once did Mtl try to create traffic for screens or tips, not hard to see a shutout even in the 2nd period.
well they beat vegas last night , just saying ,
I didn't get a chance to see the game, but I lost 50 on it. I bet on Caufield to score and Hutson to get 2 points. I thought they'd be fured up after not being selected to team U.S.A.
Give credit to the first star of the game!
Habs played a much better game from the last time these two teams met. Thomas always plays well against us but focus on the positives and we can see this team is climbing up in many ways!
Loved the compete level & it was just not the way the puck bounced for us this game!
GHG!!!
The 5 on 3 was the weirdest thing I've seen this season. Not a single pass to Slaf unhindered in front of the goal even when standing face to face with Suzuki, who chose to pass across to Demidov instead. If I didn't know better I'd think they didn't want to score.
3 goalue system does not work , no 1 plays enough to be sharp . Habs should of lesrned this from a couple years ago.
Guhle for Tij
Replace Texier with Bolduc on the 1st line.
Montreal's coaching staff should stop trying out goalkeepers every other game and finally appoint two goalkeepers who will carry the season, and those are, in my opinion,Fowler and Dobes. Fowler is already better than Dobes.Every point in this division is important if they want to make playoffs. We played a good game, their goalie had an amazing night.
danueut stunk
It wasn't just the goalie – the team looked horrible
Danault -1 Gally -2 and they had a great game???
We just hit a brick wall today folks! Nothing to worry about!😎
The Blues could claim they won the trade sending Bolduc to the Habs for Maillous.
Can't win them all. They seemed flat at first. They got got shut down. Was hoping to win this one and expect a loss tomorrow.
I feel there is too much unrealistic hope on folwer. We need to build up dobes confidence that’s more important in my opinion. Cannot train/test a new rookie goalie in the middle of the season. No matter how good or calm he looks. Dobes has a soft heart and might be over-sensitive for every night’s decision.
Texier has been so good for the Habs since his first game one of our best forwards every night in my opinion I hope he stays on first line for a bit let them develop chemistry I think this new first line could be killer! Keep the second line together and build around them
Habs made the same mistakes they have made in the past couple seasons: not enough players driving to the net, too many cute passes, and Slaf is not in the goalie's face screening him. The moment I saw Slaf wasn't screening the goalie, chances of scoring dropped close to nil as Binnington (and any other goalie) can see the puck coming a mile away. Also, the Habs made the same mistakes as they have done defensively: allowing odd man rushes, bad giveaways in the defensive zone (Bolduc makes a pass through the slot and it was picked off), not clogging up the slot, and getting baited by opponent to come to the end boards leaving the slot wide open.
I agree that I'm not overly upset with the loss, but its games like this that the team can really learn from their performance. First we should still be cognizant that this was far from a good game for the 1st 2 periods. Second, when you're getting goalied, that's when you go hard to the paint, cause havoc in front, SHOOT everything (still too many passes) at the net. This is a game where dirty goals were needed. The STL players by and large played decent defense, very active sticks causing a lot of missed passes, especially cross zone etc. So what do you do? You shoot and play much tighter so the passes are shorter and faster. So the kids can hold their heads up while still realizing they have A LOT to learn about winning tight games and that's the type of games that will be played in the playoffs.
Thats what it mudt have felt like playing against price
As far as our goalie situation goes, its all on Monty now. Fowler doesn't need to stay up, quit worrying about that. Monty just needs to be his .902 SV% self and that's good enough to send Fowler down so he can play daily. Fowler is 21, we shouldn't rush him and shouldn't need him yet.
