When the Sharks play the sure thing playoff teams they look like they do not belong on the ice with them. It is why losing in the first round for most NHL teams is meaningless and hurts them in the draft.

The best game in the whole career of Pavol Regenda and it will be remembered as the Sharks getting lightning bolted. He was the one the sharks traded Justin Bailey for. The Ducks did not think Regenda was good enough for the NHL.

I don't really do the "hate this team" "love that team" thing. I think there's generally a ton of talent on every team and I enjoy watching great hockey no matter who is playing. That being said… I freaking HATE the Lightning 😂

I don't get why the sharks are giving Askarov the workload of a Shesterkin or a Hellebuyck. It's his first season as a starter. He's calder eligible. This was Ned's first outing since he relieved Askarov against Vegas. His last start was the 18th against Dallas. DeBoer ran Jones into the ground with 65+ starts on the year for 4 straight seasons and now I fear the sharks are doing the same with Askarov. A young, rebuilding team you're gonna expect losses like this but I was hoping lopsided results were left in 2023-24. Interesting that this game got as scrummy and physical as it did and somehow the sharks were the ones that ended up short handed every single time.
