I hope this entire roster is bag skated half to death. What an embarrassment of a game. The penguins would have had a tougher time playing against Disney on ice.
Good thing we got a couple days off coming up before OTT. Really need a break to reset everything and get back to playing the brand of hockey that has gotten us to the peak we were ending last year.
Aziz was right all along. Larkin is a career bum who will be remembered as such. He’s definitely not captain material. He’s a sulky pouty diver. He’s also dumb as fuck, he can hardly murmur out a sentence in every interview. I don’t see how he could lead a team. He also fucking sucks on the ice. He’s looked like a 3rd liner for two years. I guess he wasn’t injured after 4 nations. He just sucks.
People who don’t understand puck won’t know what the Wings were trying to accomplish. They were making Pittsburgh do all the work and get tired while the Wings sat back and conserve energy. That’s why they had so few shots on goal.
Raymond is a 30-40 point guy on any other team. An extreme empty net and powerplay assist merchant. Larkin is a 3rd line center. Finnie is a PWHL caliber player. Hell of a “first line”
At least the final score is 2-1 with Gibson in net, so this loss is definitely not on him, which is great. 2 were empty netters. Wings only had 12 shots on net though, that ain't gonna get it done when you allow over 30. Better effort next game, boys.
One of the worst games of the year, they need to wake up with 2 divisional games in the next 7 days. Wake tf up now before January is completely down the toilet and they can't get back into the race. New year bug hitting them good
Todd McLellan has turned this team into a more boring team to watch than Derek Lalonde did. Even when they win they fucking lose. They suck the life out of themselves every game playing this miserable anti offence style of play. A high scoring hockey game is uplifting and enjoyable to watch. This is literally draining the soul out of the viewer.
They played better in some parts of the game, but overall it was a poor effort. They cannot have these poor effort games and become a contender. Come on guys.
Utter pathetic effort tonight. Pens were never in trouble at any point in that game. 4 out of the last 5 games the Wings have looked awful. 5 on 5 this team is still trash. Gibson was solid although I think he over commits on the first Pens goal. But he was the only one that showed up. Larkin was woeful and tried making some ridiculous passes. Easily one of the worst games I've ever seen the Wings play.

Rasmussen and Johansson do not belong on an NHL sheet of ice. Both make mistakes almost every shift it’s become noticeable.

Defense can't make pass out of their zone. They constantly need to dump and chase. This is why I was all for trading Edvisson in a deal for Hughes.

Maybe how about coming out ready to play with the first face off your first period is not your warm-up. Period.

Wings played 3 games in less than 4 calendar days and it showed. They might was well have skated in quick sand.
