Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar discussed his lineup changes, defenseman Sam Malinski’s skill, and his decision to play Scott Wedgewood against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Why I still say they need to address 3C,& probably 7th dman by the trade deadline after the Olympics. Today it's obviously fine-2 losses in 37 games-lol. But especially in this division-I think they need to fill those 2 minor holes for the playoffs. Drury is fine at 3C but he's elite at 4C,& it's far more ideal if you can move him back there before the playoffs,& add somebody who's at least a decent 3C.
Doesnt have to be somebody great-just solid. Not really Colton's fault but he's a natural wing (no different than Kelly who's much better at wing)-& you just need an actual 3C. Coyle trade worked out for both teams but it did leave a void there,& fortunately the picks,& especially cap space you gained make it possible to fill it before the deadline,& you got Brindley in that trade besides.

I fuckin love Bedsy he can continue to get ignored by the nhl award givers a the team Canada staff I wouldn’t trade him for anyone
