Oilers recall Ike Howard and Quinn Hutson | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler & Liam

Tyler and Liam are back on Oilersnation Everyday breaking down a busy day around the Edmonton Oilers 🔵🟠

The boys react to the Oilers recalling Ike (Isaac) Howard and Quinn Hutson, what those moves say about the organization, and how the new-look bottom six could shake out. They also dive into Wednesday night’s loss to the Boston Bruins — what went wrong, who stood out, and what needs to change heading into the next stretch of games.

Later in the show, they’re joined by insider David Pagnotta to talk trade chatter around the league, Andrew Mangiapane’s situation, cap gymnastics, and what the Oilers’ front office might be cooking as the deadline approaches.

Stick around, jump in the chat, and let us know your thoughts on the call-ups and where this team goes from here 👇

  1. I wouldn’t trade Howard or Hutson for forsberg, I would give mags, janmark, and henerque and a first for forsberg.

  2. Savoie is a natural center. He was drafted as a center, the Oilers just never played him in his best position. Also, the kid line gets less pressure, they can just play their game rather than being asked to play something else to complement other players. It should be a good show.

My main concern with Forsberg is first, hes a 60 points guy. He had one 90 point season and one 80. 2nd, why would he be different from Arvi, Skinner, Brown, Mangiapane and others than come and produce 10% of what they used to produce. The way this team is built just doesn't work for a lot of players. Now do you really want to get a 8.5 mil guy on the roaster that ends up doing 30 points instead of 60-70 and ends up playing 6 minutes on the 4th line with Henrique? Will Mcdavid and Drai play 19 minutes instead of 25 to give more time to forsberg? Too big of a risk for me.

Hutson and Howard they're low risk high reward potential. If they don't work out, you lost basically nothing.
