  1. No, no and furthermore no. If you're going to make a move, you need to move some of the under performing defense and acquire a defensive skater that can grab the puck and take it into the neutral zone without looking like a lost boy scout. Defense will win you games, taking a chance on a player that may or may not come around is not a good tactical move especially in this potential trade.

  2. I like Lysell and and Merkolov but why do we keep holding onto them if we never give them a chance? Anyone saying they have gotten a chance is a dumbass. They have played a few games here and there in the NHL. That's not how to develop. They need consistency and to build chemistry and see how they do with an entire season. No player will ever be able to a damn thing like that. At that point moving them up for a few games just to send them back down what are you looking for? Because even NHL players even elites have bad games. So expecting a prospect to perform as good or even consistent when they first come up is impossible. If it was that easy anyone could coach.
