Best Winter Classic Drone Shot Ever? Probably! See the ice before the game πŸšβ„οΈπŸ’

For the first time in five years, this Winter Classic drone film was captured in a true one-take β€” no stitch points, no hidden cuts @jaybyrdfilms

Start outside in sunny Miami, Florida, then follow the drone as it glides seamlessly into loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins, where a full NHL rink awaits for the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic.

The journey features stick-handling specialist Swaggy P, cameos from Billy the Marlin and Viktor E. Ratt, plus appearances by the Florida Panthers, Panthers legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Roberto Luongo, former Marlin Jeff Conine, and Panthers TV rinkside reporter Katie Engleson.

Tonight, the Panthers face the New York Rangers in the southernmost regular-season game in NHL history β€” and the first NHL outdoor game ever played in Florida.

Despite Miami’s reputation for heat, ice-level temps checked in at 58Β°F (14Β°C) during roof-open testing, setting the stage for a primetime showdown led by outdoor-game veterans Brad Marchand and Artemi Panarin.

From palm trees to puck drop β€” this is hockey history, Miami style. πŸŒ΄β„οΈ

  1. LOL this isnt a winter classic, its a Summer Classic so much for Hockey being a winter game. what's next hockey is now played at the summer Olympics lol

  2. Bro really said, "Over 1000 miles from the nearest frozen lake. I can't think of a better place to play hockey!" πŸ’€

  3. I feel sorry for anyone who bought tickets behind home plate not knowing the setup first. That view is going to suck. But yay for the experience.😑

  4. There’s actually tons of places better to play hockey than Miami especially if we are talking Winter Classic

  5. That's got to be the DUMBEST place to play… it's supposed to
Be outside. This woulda bee the Perfect year to play in pittsburgh cause we gas a freaking snow storm starting at 7pm lasting till 130am.. amd 14 degrees.. it should always be played outside.. indoor venues are goofy

  6. β€œSeem the ice before the game” I don’t think there’s gonna be one, we’re just getting a peak at the ice before it melts, if it was to hot to play a outdoor game in Colorado, it’s gonna be way to hot to play one in Florida

  7. Let the NHL grow yall, it will be back to a snowy place one day. But we need to grow the game NFL and NBA is stealing all the views and money

  8. Honestly, y’all I really like a Winter Classic in Florida. Changes it up a little bit. Making it a little hot while still adding in some cold. A best of both worlds type. Plus, the inside looks awesome.

  9. that looks ridiculous, it's like holding a beach volleyball tournament in montreal in january, well enjoy that I guess, I'm not watching

  10. Doesn’t look like a Winter Classic to me but rather a warm/tropical climate-level Stadium Series event.

Perhaps the next Winter Classic should be set in either of the following:
    * Toronto vs. Ottawa at an open roof Rogers Centre
    * Columbus vs. Detroit at Ohio State Stadium
    * LA Kings vs. San Jose (as California Golden Seals) at Dodger Stadium
    * Montreal vs. Boston at an open roof Olympic Stadium (only after 2028)
    * Colorado (as Colorado Rockies) vs. Utah at Empower Field at Mile High
    * Edmonton vs. Calgary at Commonwealth Stadium
    * Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh either at Lincoln Financial Field or PNC Park
    * New Jersey vs. NY Islanders at MetLife Stadium

  11. Cool idea with the drone fly thru but having the game indoors is a major fail in my opinion.

  12. Nice shot but winter classic is outdoors in the elements this is sad , don't ever do this again , put it at the big house where u of m plays football, you'll draw 110,000+ set records on crowd on income etc …….

  13. The best part of all of this is all the salty elitist gate keeping NHL fans getting upset, it’s just making it better guys 🀣

  14. I just don't get the hype, especially as someone in the stands for a baseball field. I went to the Blackhawks at Wrigley Field. The sight lines were abysmal. Spent hundreds and only saw the game from the shoulders up when it was near our end. Spent most of the game squinting at the video board in the outfield.
