  1. O and other things we can get better at 1) SHOOT of the PP 2) Players need to just start yelling at Demigod SHOOOOOOT! He's got a KILLER shot and seems far more content to dish. Of course his pass to Kapanen was pure gold but he had multiple opportunities to label it. Even so, as with Slafs Demigod has started to play at a new level of confidence, making grown NHL players look silly and refusing to give up on a puck/play.

  2. Ol' Slaf (ha, ha!) making a mockery of the prevailing hater wisdom of "you wasted that pick, idiots". Even spent some time in Laval (just like our "little bundle of joy!"…tip o' da cap) first year. Just getting started, for he is actually so young. Such a wonderful thing to see. The boys need to keep the faith and believe they can get 1 point every game or at least make the final score competitive against the elite teams (e.g. Avalanche, Stars, Wild etc.). The fact that they are doing it without some key players and their most formidable PP scorer out is very encouraging. Better than average goaltending and continued intensity on defense will make the difference now.

  3. Th USA team isn't going to pick Lane or Cole and i couldn't be happier. Helps Canada, they rest and play with chip on their shoulders the rest of the year.

  4. Lane is a Norris trophy candidate for sure. He might just be a Hart trophy candidate. I'd like to see where he ranks in puck possession because he seems to have it a lot

  5. There's a lot i would have changed but the end result was good. Carrier had a very tough game again. Strubble was ok.

  6. If team USA doesn’t take Hutson & Caufield, they don’t deserve a medal. The choice to leave Hutson off will age very poorly.

  7. Why not try slaf suzuki demidov and than you do Cole kap Bolduc/texier and eventually it will be with zharovsky and hage

  8. Hutson is the best dman in the league if usa dont select him its major disrespect as if canada wouldnt take makar. Make them switch places hutson wins norris after norris playing with mac and toews..

  9. Did we not learn last time that 3 goalies makes all 3 worse , get rid of 1 whether its down to laval or a trade , do it and do it fast

  10. Great step to move Slafkovsky to 2nd line. Now they have 2 strong lines. Even, i would say, second has higher potential.

  11. I'm old enough to remember Frank Mahovlich. That is Slafkovsky. That goal tonight was pure Mahovlich. Looked almost like he was coasting, but passing everyone on the ice. Slaf has exactly the long reach, and those long strides of Mahovlich. I predict by the end of this season no one is going to be questioning him as a first pick.

This is the strongest roster Monteal has had in a long time. And they're the youngest team in the league! The future is bright.

  12. The results of the last three games has to improve Montreal's confidence.
It is clear the Canadiens have one of the best second lines in the NHL. They also have incredible upside.
We need to have Guhle and Newhook back.
