In all my years (29 years old here) watching Habs Hockey I’ve NEVER SEEN someone as skilled as Hutson on this franchise

This team is unreal. Literally.
Habs played solid all game so even down 0-2 I was telling my buddy this was the kinda game if they rallied and won for Monty it could be a season altering win💙🤍❤️
I was livid with the team most of the game. Bad penalties, lack of scoring ability. We were clearly the better team. We cant keep depending on these comebacks!!! That being said. Great job!
A little conditioning stint in Laval did wonder for Montembeault, whatever the goalie coach down there pointed out to him.

Be honest, when Guhle, Laine, Dach, Newhook and Evans go down …. and the goalies are struggling, who thought these young guns would go through a brutal Nov/Dec schedule and be sitting at 2nd in the Atlantic. This team is going to terrorize the NHL in the next number of years!!
Dobson has 27 points as a defenceman who doesn’t play PP1. Let that sink in a second.
TBH I thought it was over when Florida made it 2-0. I think it was Craig Button who said it best during the playoff drive last season, that this team is resilient. Scary thing is they will only get better with maturity and experience, plus there are all the young prospects like Reinbacher, Zharovsky, Hage, Fowler (if he doesn't stay with the big club) F. Xhekaj Pickford….etc.

Such an epic game! Those Panthers goals pained me, but something kept me believing for 30 seconds. And some Cole magic provided more than enough faith after that!
One disagreement: Monty is responsible for that 2nd goal. Not an acceptable hole to leave for an NHL goalie w the shooter at that angle. He has a terrible tendency to leave the top corners open, sometimes even going to his knees at terrible times
I hope he comes out of this game w a lot more confidence and the skaters put trust back in him bc I want Dobes to be able to go down and tear apart the AHL for a stretch. But he has some frustrating weaknesses for an experienced NHL gk
I don't want to be a downer; but Monty has come back for one game before.. if he gives me five good games in a row, I'll believe it

Was a nice comeback but man they over pass at times, on that 4 – 3, they all get confused lol. Luckily MSL kept the frst line for the whole pp, cuz that could have been the game there.
The HABS never give up. The effort is always there, and when the opposing team takes the lead, the HABS play says, "not so fast" because the game is not over yet. The HABS just don't give up, and that's simply magnifique.
It does get better. We only gained a point on the Panthers.
Getting time off for the Olympic break will help. Hopefully Guhle and Dach are back.
If you trade Laine, Monty… for Nemec, this is possible.

The comback was amazing!! Even when we were down 2:0 with a few minutes left I somehow believed. Was jumping up like crazy even tho the game finished around 3 AM in Slovakia 😀 The never give up spirit is the best thing you can have in a team. Enjoy the new years eve guys. And may 2026 be blessed for the Habs!!! 🙏💝
Gotta say, Monty did well but that second goal was total garbage. He should not have been on his knees at that point, end of story.
The goaltending situation is not hard. The second goal Monty let in was weak. He is a rocking time bomb of bad plays.

Да не заслуживает Сузуки места в сборной. То что забил два гола вчера это везение и помощь партнёров. В первом случае Демидов ускорился, обокрал Тарасова и отдал под бросок Сузуки, во втором случае его тоже вывели на пустой угол ворот. Тампа обменяла своего капитана Стэмкоса. Сузуки через несколько лет станет старее, появится много молодых игроков, которым нужны будут хорошие контракты. Думаю в 2028-2029 году его обменяют.
