brad marchand has had his fair share of like, funny moments on the ice but beyond that he’s not the sort of player i want to see, like, ever. like, a peck on the lips or whatever is charming and amusing but he’s not signed to tenor gifs, he’s signed to the florida panthers, and his hockey has never been the hockey i love and feel so passionate about.

Dirty hit He came in and watched his height when he delivered it to the head. I will be shocked if the league does anything. But this is a prime example of why they need policing back in hockey because the league screws up a lot and players don’t forget. So maybe the next game BM will get a flying elbow to his head in retaliation and maybe it will be career ending. So if the league won’t do something about it it just might take care of itself.
Not even holding a hearing. Knew that would be the case. He’s a star player playing in a market the NHL is DESPERATE to please. He could go around and swing his stick like a club at peoples heads and all they’d do is say that they didn’t think his stick was being waved TOO bad. That’s the reality of the situation. It’s why Bennett was running over goalies all last playoffs with no punishment and why Rantanen only got a one game suspension after charging at the back of players into the boards multiple games in a row which ended the season for one player (and even that suspension came with basically an apology from the league who made it sound like they HAD to because it was an automatic one for taking two penalties of that nature in such a short span).
The Department of Player Safety is a joke and always will be it seems.
It was satisfying to see Ekblad fumble the puck behind his net leading to the Suzuki tying goal, after he whined about being picked on the Caufield goal. 😁
The crazy part is that in the full clip you can see bennett also trying to chickenwing Matheson, then misses and Marchand ended up finishing the job. The Panthers might have to kill a player before the nhl does decide to do something about it

People say that he’s gotten cleaner but he’s still doing this stuff. Couple weeks ago he was slashing Carolina’s goalie in the balls.
