These guys are intolerable.
Based on where they're at with upcoming contracts, it's time to make a call with Tuch, Power, Byram, and Quinn. Pick a direction, keep one move the rest.
100% I love the NHL. I love hockey. I watch a lot of hockey but to be locked in with other results because they matter shit it’s been 20 years. Heck yes I’m watching scores. I used to not care I mean recently we’re not worried about how bad the officials were because we’re so bad it’s irrelevant.😆😆 we’re officially in the mix
quinn see ya later, byram should be traded at the draft. Also gotta remember we need to resign tuch kesselring doan and benson so you don’t want to get a huge piece but a decent one unless Quinn, UPL and Byram go out
Saros would be the perfect addition I live in Nashville. I’m very familiar with him. And the predators are lost obviously spent a lot in free agency didn’t work. They virtually have no young players and they’re not good just in a terrible spot. Goddamn, make it happen.
Quinn doesn’t really seem like an nhl player.
With Timmins out for 2 months, we could use a replacement/upgrade over him. A big defensive Dman who is physical and clears the crease.
I like Josh Doan's game and even on the nights he doesn't get a point he makes smart plays and plays super hard. If he stays long term, I'm buying a Doan jersey.
Looking sharp Cali. The team needs to not be concerned about others. Just win a majority of your games and. Not eight figures for Tuck though like others are saying, $7 million dollars for a guy that has 413 points in 573 games is a far amount. Drake Batherson will be on team USA before Tuch
Don’t try to fix what’s not broken!!!
Joe, glad you picked up on my thread from the last youtube video. Yes the Sabres do need a consistent 30+ goal scorer its just those are very hard to come by. This is why I say a RHD. We are too thin there. And even with the Premium that RHD have. If you can find that next Kesselring. The Sabres have the capital to get that player. For example NJD have 4 RHD. 3 of those are far better players than Simon Nemec right now. If you are Buffalo can you package Quinn plus other pieces for Nemec who would be a very good 3rd pair D on this team. Who long term does have top 4 upside.
Quinn Plus a 1st may be enough to get that done. Yes it would be an over payment. BUT. Making the right side of the D stronger for the later half of this season can make this team better.
This move also opens up a roster spot for Ostlund full time and Kulich when he returns. Rosen has a chance to push for a full time roster spot too who I think has a better shot than Quinn. And if given the chance could become much better than Quinn. I think Rosen was slower to adapt and if you look at his numbers now in the NHL and AHL he is almost ready to be a full time NHLer.
Ostlund shouldn't be sent down at this point.
Then you can also clear up the goalie problem by trading Lyon which yes he has been the better Goalie. However you still have Levi who should be able to prove he belongs here when there is an injury with UPL or Ellis. UPL is too hard to move right now. And I am not willing to give up on a young Goalie like Ellis just to keep Lyon.
We much balance long term goals with giving this team a shot this year to make the playoffs. They honestly may still be too far behind. This is why you make the smaller trades to booster the weakness in the line up. RHD. You clear the way for younger players who are ready for the NHL full time right now or about to break in full time like Rosen.
We have enough players pushing in behind from all positions long term that we can flip the depth just a bit right now. There will be younger players next season and the season after that pushing to get into the NHL at all positions in the future. That if we play our cards right we may be able to make this team better right now and for the long haul with smaller focused trades. Not trying to send Power out for
Saros. The only way I would trade for Saros is if UPL, Quinn and a 1st were going the other direction. Not a Power for Saros.
add another d…
These morons want to set the team back another decade😂 with ridiculous trade ideas wtf. Best thing adams did was allow the team to draft and develop their talent and not trade it all for another teams cancer
now is NOT the time for any trade ideas..for the first time in a decade this team has a serious pulse and awesome chemistry and fans want to move players out?? good lord 🙄
The reason they drop in my mind is Norris gets injured again. In the power play goes dead along with goalscoring
UPL, Power, Quinn for Saros, Evangelista, Hague
DiBiasi talks too much, says nothing and sucks all the oxygen out of the room.
Owen is a good co-host when Jeremy isnt around. Props.
We need a big rugged D man w' experience
A gotta have it face off guy would be nice too. A 4th line C who can win in a dot. Not O’Reilly but someone like that who can win it when needed
They probably should add, yes. Neither Benson nor Zucker are right at 1LW. I like Zucker-McLeod-Benson as a line. But Krebs is not a 1LW, need a bonafide playmaker.
Trading Power for Saros would be ridiculously bad for the Sabres.
Taking trades on a 9 game winning streak. Dumb. First, who’s out there to trade with? People throw trades out there like it easy to do when it’s not. Next is we all know any streak in any sport is going to end and when it does, do not lose the next four or five in a row which this team has a history of. I’m hoping this is not the case this year.
hopefully Jarmo notices how bad POWER is and trades him. to many mistakes' night after night, he's the only player I wouldn't mind leaving
Quinn-plus (probably a 1st) for Garland or Rust. Both more well-rounded players with leadership/experience who don't have no-trade protection to veto a deal.
