Does anyone realise how utterly stupid Team Canada bigwigs will look if Canada comes up a goal short and Bouchards not on the Team or if their D-men take to many unruly penalties and Bouchards not on the Team????….Evan Bouchard is the PROTOTYPICAL Olympic Defenseman….full stop…. what makes NHL D-Men great is NOT WHAT MAKES OLYMPIC PLAYERS GREAT…. those NHL attributes do not all translate smoothly to the Olympic game. Bouchard is big and strong and fast and smart he plays CLEAN and is GENERATIONAL offensively…hes more than Makar can ever be….Evan is a Unicorn…..and if hes not on the Team its pizz poor planning IMHO.
Regarding junior players I would take CHL kids over NCAA any day. Why? The travel schedule and the amount of games they play. They build character. Now not everyone is the same but I’ll go with CHL
