Forward Jalen Luypen is back with the South Carolina Stingrays after a brief stint with the Hershey Bears on a professional tryout contract (PTO). Luypen, who scored a goal in his second game with the Bears, returns to the Stingrays where he has been a standout player this season. With 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 20 games, Luypen is tied for fourth in both goals and points in the ECHL. Originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 7th round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Luypen has proven his skill and versatility in both the AHL and ECHL.
