You Can’t Stop Him..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montréal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning! The Lightning won this game by a score of 5-4 in a shootout. But the Habs erased a 3 goal deficit and battled back to get a much needed point. Thanks ofcourse – to some incredible work by Juraj Slafkovsky! Lets break this one down!

  1. Fast approaching 60k Subs!! I see a new logo too! Keep on going Junkie. All season Slaf has arrived!!

  2. hey not the refery who shot that puck on himself slav is the one he could have shot it 3 t0 6 feet it would not have been a turnover.Slav admitted it also.

  3. Thanks for the logo update, no more HDR weirdness and it doesn't distract the eye, woohoo! 😀

  4. Players gotta go back to using Wood sticks. Those titanium sticks are garbage. Geez, just sayin.
All i want for Xmas is a beating on Florida.

  5. with slaf in the 2nd line its becoming clear how much suzuki and caufield were using his hard work around the boards and in front of the net. i'd say the first line is missing him more than he is missing the first line…

  6. I’m glad he is breaking out of his shell and that it makes the habs a better team .
However , i think Demidov deserves a lot of credit for how he seems to elevate his line mates despite playing his first full season with the habs .
Just look at Kappanen’s stats and Newhook’s before he got injured .

Imagine if they had been able to get Ivan a quality veteran top six line mate during the season …

  7. go Juraj! im very happy hes becoming the player you wanted him to be, if he can keep this going it would be amazing. love from slovakia.

  8. love the chemisty on the 2nd line slafs, kapanen and demigod as they are playing great together…..this is an unbreakable line

  9. when Dach returns he should be inserted on the Suzuki line on the wing where imo he is better suited than Centre. Danault, Anderson, Bolduc would be the 3rd line. Evans (when he returns) Tessier and Beck with Gallagher in the stands, but I doubt MSL will do that, but it it is apparent to many that Gallagher has nothing left in the tank, dives me nuts to see him on the PP with so many other options like for instance maybe Dobson as a forward on the 2nd unit, Scotty many times would put Savard or Robinson in front of the net. When Laine and possibly Newhook return towards the end of the regular season it will be interesting who MSL plugs into the lineup.

  10. Great content as always, HJ! Love ya, buddy.
I say put Monty in. See how he does and then have a rethink about his roll with the team afterwards.

  11. Without Slav the "1" line is struggling . Slav is a man now and runs his own line . Leave that alone . Fix the so -called 1st line . Suzie and Cole need to up their games And do more and do it better . As good as those 2 are they are soft . Thats the problem . Maybe Dach can fix that , he is a big boy . Hopefully we will see him soon.

  12. I really love to watch the Habs play. Even tho I am a Caps fan they are so young and fun. Wish we had this team in Houston .You guys are lucky to have em. I been waiting for Slafkovsky to come into his own.

  13. My TOTs are…The people that only measure a player by G-A-Pts are dumb. Thank you Xhekaj. Thank you Danault. etc. PS…I have been a Slaf fan since he started on Habs. He is now in this "Uncle Slaf" role with the kids, leading them and driving the play. This role is so much bigger and opens his potential than in his supportive role on the first line, where he was mainly the puck getter. He does a lot more on this line because the opportunity is there for him. I mean, Sone Handerson could do what they were asking Slaf to do on the first line. Moving on to a line with the kids has unlocked a new level.

  14. I think Slaf is Proud to be the one that lead the line between Kappy and Demigod instead of completing Suzuki and GoalCaufield !

  15. Slaf settling in life after living by himself as a teen + adjusting to NHL rink…early season good stuff just not on score sheet. How about Hutson all over the place many shifts?✨I only came in at 3rd period, 0-3 I truly thought they could come back, that 3.8secs equalizer felt gooood! Fowler #1, Kahkonen filling well in Laval, Monty better not flop his next chance or he's gone due to his contract status.

  16. I say leave Slaf where he is. He's a different player there (i.e. he can finally be himself). Caufield and Suzuki are great players who should not need a third wheel of a particular type to achieve their potential. Stars adapt.
    But I'm not the coach.

  17. Well, I always knew Slav just needed more time to mature. He was like a great Dane puppy, learning to grow into his legs and went from them flopping around when he tried to walk to full out sprinting with style.

But seriously, can't rush development on taller players. They need time to develop. The only exception to that rule is like, Mario Lemieux and Eric Lindros
