  1. Good for Knuckle head block to bench Frederic. On the other hand why the heck was Hutson not in the lineup. He deserves a real chance

  2. For years they have tried to trade around Connor and Leon and they have failed badly. Both superstars have been Oilers for 10 years and managment dont know how to build a team around them. If this is not to late maybe try the young players which you should have done in the first place.

  3. Ok the laughter indicates you’re waaaay smarter than the Head Coach. So enlighten me. The video doesn’t resolve it.

  4. I think it was a mistake putting him in Hyman's position at the start of the year. That must have dented his confidence a little and then I don't think he's still 100% fit.

  5. Frederic lost the plot. No hitting, no passion, just a confused look on his face. He needs to drop the mitts and start serving fist. Do something.

  6. I believe Knoblauch here, as strangely as he said it.

If you look at Frederic today vs a couple years ago the problem is obvious: his skating. He had an ankle injury.

Maybe what Knob meant was that even though the injury is done with, the muscles and maybe even skating technique have taken a step back and need to be build back up

Also, knoblauch cant lie and put him on IR. There are insurance implications to that, so that would be fraud.

  7. I was too busy to see what the Oilersphere thought when he was signed, but I assumed that everyone agreed that it was a horrible contract? Was that not the case?

  8. But what about Bowman? Why did he sign him for 8 years? There was no indication at the end of last year or the playoffs that Frederick was worth signing to a long term contract. To me its a total failure by Bowman and its moves like this that continue to hurt the Oilers going forward as evident in other signings by other GM's ex. Campbell.
I'm starting to think Knoblauch is a little bit of a dull tool. He had trouble reporting to the pre game media who was in and who was out. Escott from Ched had to prod him twice asking "Ok if player A is in who is out"? Also Knoblauch is calling Roslovic "secondary scoring", What?

  9. For Freddie, I hope watching the team play from the box helps him. I think he could watch Hyman and learn a lot about where to be on the cycle.

  10. Oilers are winning and climbing the standings, so what's the dam problem.?!!! Why all this complaining!!! Two idiots!!

Start singing a different tune, cause the Oilers is going to the cup final again with or without some of the under achieving players. As long as 97 and 29 is hot, the team will keep winning no matter how many passengers are on the team.

  11. When you have low to mid tier guys – you sign them to 3 years or less – if they want more, let them move on

  12. 16:00 To your quote "Connor Brown was a menace in the playoffs" Sorry but not sorry he was a forechecking menace with good finish, here in Edmonton he was a lost player, not effective for far too long, over in Jersey watched him play as your quote, more aggressive, even very much involved in after play scrums defending teammates, damn near took him two years to get to half that here. Stop with defending Brown, he was no different than Freddy and or Mangiapane here and now as there's no defense for veteran players that were signed and their level of compete is floating around the ice every night. Good on the callups for seeing an opportunity, forechecking and finishing checks by closing the gap and pressuring defenders. That's what's plauged the Oil for ages is healthy competition for a roster spot.
