This sends a CLEAR message…

The Montreal Canadiens are making some changes to the lineup involving Alex Texier, Sam Montebeault, and more, but it’s Juraj Slafkovsky who gets the big honour with 3rd star of the week. Josh Gosse and Jesse Poirier chat about all of it on this episode of Habs Digest.

  1. Comparing Slaf to Forsberg is crazy. Slaf doesn't have Forsberg hands, vision nor elusiveness. Probably Jesse is too young to fully get the comparison, but Slaf is closer to Can Neely than Forsberg. Big body, elite in puck retrieval around the boards, great slut presence and above average shot

  2. Guys love ya, but you need a few pointers on doing sponsor ads. Not being mean, cats. Ya need a little help. Hopefully you take this as positive. Love the channel, love the content.

Suggesting Jesse is the guy that sells. He is the face that can sell, Josh. Again not being mean. Jessie is just the guy you want to do it, as uncomfotable he looked.

I love this channel, but that was a little awkward, guys. ❤❤❤❤

  3. Love your take on Slaf's potential. Monty needs to play without a doubt. Imo Dach will return as a winger on the top line, potentially swaps places with Slaf if the chemistry doesn't work. And lastly, I would like to see some hype for the latest signing of the team, Bryce Pickford. He's doing some fantastic things in Medicine Hat Tigers.

  4. So Tolvanen's 2 EN goals are more than Slaf's 3 beauties in two games? C'mon NHL, this is nonsense. What are your opinion about 3 stars of the week?

  5. I project Slaf is gonna a beast like Jagr. Even when he gets 40, I bet he’ll be able to elevate the play of his line.

  6. Dobes is filled with talent and is an ideal #2. If we could nab an established goalie like a Jake Allen, that’s all we need. Just a middle of the pack goalie, nothing special.

Trade Monty for whatever you can get and alternate with your veteran and Dobes. I think it’s too early to have Fowler take on the responsibility of #1 goalie in the NHL.

We can’t afford to have Fowler/Dobes duo because when you have 2 #2 goalies, when the going gets tough, you end up with no goalies as we’ve seen happen this year. We need a clear veteran starter to help our young goalies grow and if/when they are ready to take the keys, we can just not renew the veteran contract which will likely be short term anyway.

  7. Why are they playing Monty? Dobes has less goals against than expected plus a winning record. We are facing a stretch of schedule that is a nightmare basically from here on out with teams like Florida, Jersey, Carolina, Dallas playing us. Why not get the rookie Dobes a start, and maybe get another win.

  8. Carolina needs a goalie as one of theirs is out for the season….Monty to Carolina for a late draft pick

  9. Dach was great on the wing with that line two years ago before these major injuries. That was the team's best line at the time hands down
