Join host Grant Mitchell as we break down the career of the Edmonton Oilers’ defensive cornerstone, Darnell Nurse.
Drafted 7th overall back in 2013 as the “can’t-miss” prospect destined to anchor the blue line, Nurse has evolved into a crucial presence for Edmonton. Standing at 6’4″, he is known as a “minute-eating” physical force who combines elite skating with a tough, aggressive style of play.
In this video, we look at his journey from his junior days and becoming a World Junior Gold Medalist to earning a massive $74 million contract as an “Iron Man” leader for the Oilers.
Finally, Grant Mitchell answers the big question: Where does Darnell Nurse rank against his NHL peers on a scale of 1 to 100?

a SLUG / DISAPPOINTMENT / a 5th. line winger at best / TEAM MATES MUST HATE HIM / who would want to partner up with him ? A KILLER of careers !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Darnell call me I have more for you !
One of those guys that got rewarded prematurely. I would likely love the guy if he made 4-5 million per year, but overpaid for sure. His fault? I don't think so.
