I wouldn't be mad at a lil 3 year deal we have the cap try and teach the younger guys it's not like he isn't playing bad

This signing confirms they have no real path to getting a 1C in any reasonable amount of time so they have to circle the wagons on what they have. Crime shame but it is what it is
He’s 29, this is his last contract. He will be looking for a five to six year deal and he will be looking for 5-6 million a year. He is in the last year of a contract and having a career year, like most pending UFAs do. Guaranteed he takes a step down each and every year after we sign him. We didnt learn from JVR, after his big year in Toronto,we signed him and he sucked. Coots was 29 we signed him and he’s been injured and mediocre. Same old Flyers nonsense.
He has been good deserves to be resigned…..they have no Centers and Luchanko may peak as a 3rd line Center simply not gifted offensively.

Dvorak plays well in Tocchet’s system and he is currently on pace for a 54 point season. It will be some time before you can dump Coots and work in Luchenko, Bergman, Ruhonen , Nesbit or Gard. I’m fine with a 2-3 year deal at $10-12mm per year.
For the love of God please no. Dvorak should 100% be traded at the deadline. He is the exact type of player teams covet at the deadline. The Flyers still need to gather assets.
No matter what The Flyers should be sellers at the trade deadline.
Major disappointment if Dvorak is extended.
I would re-sign him and Risto. Its hard to find Centers and right shot Defensemen. You can always trade them later if its not working.
