The lightning don't suck, they're defense wasn't good this year an we have two really young goalies that need to develop. Our offense is fantastic and the amount of prospects we have and the quality of those prospects is best in the league. Name another team with a better group of prospects than Tampa does. And we'll get better again as the years go on. But we have a solid team and if our defense plays more physical and our goaltending develops more. We're going to start dominating.

That doesn't not make them a team that sucks. Look at the Penguins. They drafted Malkin and Crosby. After that they go in the playoffs. The year after in final of the Stanley Cup. And the year after they go AGAIN in Stanley Cup final and win. So with the draft you can pass to ''loser'' (as you said) to ''winner''…
Well don't judge a team before the season starts. Look at Montreal. The were terrible in 2012 and after some trades and improvements they were second in the east in 2013. Plus Drouin is one of the best passers in the draft. Wouldn't it help Tampa and Stamkos if he can pass to him.
Your statements are too broad, on paper they could be a solid team. Obviously it was a need of change in coaching. Too many turnovers and odd man rushes were significant of people stating the defense is terrible. It's not good, but it's typically exaggerated. Don't worry, once Vasilevski comes over, they'll be a more consistent team.
