Gil, it’s blatantly obvious that the GM and ownership doesn’t give a crap about protecting their star players. If they did, Darshe woudve made a move by now. As much as I love watching Schaefer play, I’d rather see him on a team that will protect him properly !
We need an enforcer as much as we need a sniper. It can't be that practically every game comes down to nursing a one-goal lead for all of the third period.
Does the GM not recognize the need for muscle (among other things) or is he not able to make a move? Either way, at this point it’s starting to look like lack of competence
Boys ran out of gas 8 mins left in 3rd. Back to back is rough. Need a goon on this team. If it isnt addressed soon, then it will only be a matter of time before some slug puts Schaefer out of commission. Enough is enough!!!! Lets get ready for Hawks Tuesday and get 2pts… LGI!!!!!!
Understand Barzel’s intentions. However that axe 🪓 swing is going to get you thrown out every time. Plus the whole outcome will be more of the cheap shots directed at Schaefer. He should have let one of the others take care of payback. Move on tough loss, get the two points in Chicago. Hopefully 🤞 Barzel doesn’t receive game suspension.
I had this one marked as a loss, a big emotional win against the rags, + travel and back to back in less than 24 hours, blaming the NHL schedule for this one.
The Islanders totally turtled when they should have attacked. They just lost their legs. I'm still totally confused how we lose to Vancouver, Buffalo and Columbus who are all at the bottom and yet somehow against the better teams like the lightning or the avalanche are winners.
