I love flower but this "retired old guard that can't give it up and un-retiring across multiple sports" is getting old. It takes away from the send off, and what feels like closure to great careers.
I remember playing against the NHL oldtimers and Richard Brodeur played the second and third period out. He could skate just as well as the others. Tiger Williams took his place in net. He did really well there too!
All I will say is he is way past his prime and if you are a team and you don't have any good goalie in the AHL, then you aren't making good draft/trade picks.
If he comes back anywhere, it has to be Edmonton. Fleury is their missing Link He'd be Royalty in Edmonton. Plus, he could bring laughter into that dressing room. The Oilers are not having any fun. You can't win the Stanley Cup without it.
