  2. My friend keeps telling me to do cross country..this just made sure i wouldnt. I dont do good in situations like almost throwing up or spitting up because of how bad my body was pushed.

  4. Now imagine all that intense tiredness but someones kicking you and punching you and you have to fight back.

  5. This is the reason why I don’t convince none of my friends to do cross country even though they’re sprint runners

  6. My daughter has run since 6th grade. Now a Senior. Team Captain. Just broke 20 in the 5K. Got her whole team to State this Saturday. I ran. Never like her.

  7. I do cross country and I’m in 6th grade and it is hard it hurts but I will always push myself to do better and better every day!❤

  8. This is why we stay HYDRATED! drink water as much as you can every day except right before a race, just eat a turkey sandwhich and a bit of water the day before.

    For state championships our coach made us chug 1 bottle of water with liquid IV for every hour we drove, 3 in total, but i had to drink 4 because i didnt do good on his quiz.

    Another time since i got in trouble at school, coach found out, and at practice, he made me run 6 miles straight on a tredmill, at 7 mph while my comfortable speed at the time was 6 mph, and i had a race the day after that, he KILLED my legs, yet somehow i PRed on the 5k the next day, and he said i should not have been able to, but i did. Cross country is the sport definition of tough love

Ok so I didn’t know but the whole time I was running xc I had a bone in my knee thats not supposed to be there so I think I was doing pretty good for my 1 mile I had a 6:01 for my two mile I had a 12:09 but for having a bone in my knee that makes me run slower i think I was doing pretty good as a runner
