Leave the gift up to the wife. Just because the player isn't on the team anymore doesn't mean that 1. she can't still like the player and 2. won't remember that player as her first favorite player. There is nothing wrong with your favorite player getting traded and keeping, and even further wearing, their jersey. What is with this utter nonsense that once a player leaves a team you can't wear their jersey anymore? If the player burned the team/fanbase I get it but if it was an amicable separation then what is the problem?
Remember a group of Jagr fans wearing a jersey from each team he played for? How can that not be an acceptable practice for a current player? If the wife still likes Jarry, even though he plays in Edmonton now, I'd even suggest the idea of her later getting an Edmonton Jarry jersey. It isn't exactly like Jarry is playing in Philadelphia, yet.
If you get the "C" in Vancouver, your days are numbered! Lol or atleast in recent years besides ol Henrik
Just hope the media lays off our new players 😂
Was Hughes kicked out of the groupchat or did he leave on his own?
What was Hughes' relationship with Petterson like?
The HNIC plastering of Ozempic ads on Saturdays is beyond nauseating. That’s not even the best option out there but that’s besides the point.
It's sad for Vancouver Canucks fans how close we were to having a Stanley Cup contending core. Decisions like trading Bo Horvat, re-signing Petterson instead of trading him at his peak (and knowing there were internal problems) for Martin Necas and ultimately losing Miller, putting themselves in cap problems by trading for OEL and giving up a first round pick, not seeing the talent in Gustav Forsling etc. Ultimately needing to move a generational superstar talent like Quinn Hughes and being setback another 5-10 years in an unknown rebuild is a gut punch for fans that have been waiting since 2011 to get back to being a top team. We could've had a core that looked like this – Quinn Hughes, J.T Miller, Bo Horvant, Martin Necas (trade for Petterson), Nikita Zadorov, Thatcher Demko, Brock Boeser. Instead just bad decisions from different regimes and honestly who would want to play in a market like Vancouver unless you are winning? The media environment is so toxic when they are losing but the management and ownership is also accountable because they aren't making the right decisions. We also had the opportunity to draft Matthew Tkachuck and or William Nylander so our scouting has been terrible. We don't draft size that plays with skill, so many undersized draft picks (Lekkerimaki) with nothing to be excited about.
I'm not a fan of either team, nor a fan of Hughes himself, but I gotta say he looks great in green.
Once media started talking about Hughes being traded few weeks ago, he was good as gone. Why the shock???
Is #2 pick Nemec really not as good as Buium? I guess time will tell, but I do not agree with Elliott’s and Kyle’s take that Buium is clearly superior. Also, Mercer is a different kind of player, but is the exact same age and comparable in terms of upside with Rossi. The Devils could’ve easily matched/suprassed the 3rd player in the deal, and of course the 1st rd pick. This was all cap for them, and I think the hosts want to take some pressure off the players who rightfully vetoed trades by poor mouthing what the Devils could have offered for Quinn.
For the Jarry jersey, he has to give it to her. He's still apart of their history and he was her favorite pen.
Return the jersey and get her a Skinner jersey
Kyle Dubas has Pittsburgh on a crash course to becoming the Seattle Kraken. Toronto fans were 100% right about Dubas. He got one TOO MANY promotions
(56:10) Skinner and Hughes were traded for the same reason is a crazy take on first glance given their polar opposite skill level :p
Now they have to get rid of 11.6 for anything at all. A croissant, a bag of used pucks, an old car to use in a smash up derby, a bent horseshoe….Anything! Just get rid of him.
Does Sportsnet know that "NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman" isn't an NHL insider
Canadian teams gotta start drafting Canadian players simple the Americans want to go back to the usa same as alot of Europeans and Russians who want the money not the cup we grow up dreaming about a cup
The Canucks and everything to do with that franchise, including the owners, are laughable.
blue suit brown shoes works.
Even before the trade the Wild were king killers. They ended the Aves win streak. They ended the Stars point streak. They have been beating up the good teams for a month before the trade. This why their fans are so jacked.
Elliotte is insufferable
