Plenty of effort today but parkerball is not working in the premier league. A new manager with fresh ideas and tactics and we will stand a chance. Hopefully pace does the right thing.
Hard working performance but "we fell a little bit short" translates to not enough quality for this league. We must accept our true position is top 6 in the EFL. Without massive investment in our club we have to transition back to the EFL. Very few chances to score and slow build up play is so different to many other even "lesser" teams in this league. Scott Parker is an excellent manager, how must he work with no money . Look at what Sunderland spent. Look at what Leeds spent. Burnley refuse to realise that you have to invest to have a chance to stay up
Parker keeps trying to justify poor results with the 'young' group narrative, when we have a 36 year old in goal, 30, 27 and 35 year old players in defence, a 29 year old in midfield, two 27 year old players on the wing, and multiple 26 and 27 year old subs and even a 36 year old on the bench… I mean, talk about trying to pull the wool over people's eyes!
I enjoyed yesterday and thought the lads put in a good performance. Scott is doing the best he can with what he has. I felt the atmosphere from all 4 sides of the ground was great. UTC
Why can't the fact that we have no quality at this level to score Be accepted And also no means to address the lack of quality of natural goal scorers !

Its strange because its the best performance of the season, but still wasnt good enough for the premier league
Scott and the team did all they could. Very unfortunate not to score and win. Couple of crucial misses but that's not Scott's fault.
Can't knock the effort, Parker needs to drop the "young team" line though, it's absolute nonsense.
