Mattias Samuelsson dominant season continues in Buffalo Sabres eighth straight win over Bruins

The Buffalo Sabres win streak extends to eight with a dominant win over the Boston Bruins, led by Mattias Samuelsson, who stepped up big time in Rasmus Dahlin’s absence. Samuelsson continues to add offense, on top of his ability to shut plays down defensively. Owen Power also stepped up with a strong performance.

The Sabres forward lines all played well, especially the line of Zach Benson – Ryan McLeod – Jack Quinn. With the win, the Sabres are now tied for a playoff spot with the Florida Panthers, and spots in the Atlantic Division are within striking distance.

    On the bruins goal – UPL goes to his post, expecting byram to not make a bonehead play, byram makes said bonehead play. UPL is stuck in his crease and pasta ripped it bar down. The only reason why UPL’s positioning was bad was because byram made the wrong play. UPL didn’t have enough time to get out higher to get his shoulder on it. Not his fault at all

    Man, for the first time since in a while, I have hope for the Buffalo Sabres. I figured we just made a deal with the devil when we got Josh Allen that the Sabres would never be good again, but it looks like hope is on the horizon

    NOW comes the hard part. This streak is gonna end. Can we maintain this level of play going forward? If we can, we'll win more than we lose and that might be good enough for a wildcard spot. 👍👍

    I’d like to believe that luk number have been solid at home and we are about to go on a road trip so the extra rest for Lyon is why they went luk especially after his last performance. Ruff to tell luk he does have faith in him is also another confidence booster. Food for thought are we about to trade Lyon maybe edm at high price?

    Kesselring is not injured, he's just bad. He was bad in Utah all year and will be here. Constant turnovers and horrible penalty timing.

    Have loosely followed the Sabres through the drought. When I heard they were on a streak, I thought "Yea… Isn't this what they do?" Hit a hot streak before the new year then fall off a cliff. Is that what we're seeing again, or is this for real? I'm very cautiously optimistic.
