  1. Aspairot going down and Loheri still only playing 16 minutes was/is a pretty clear warning sign that Sturm has lost trust

  2. What's next for Lohrei? Hopefully a first class ticket to Calgary in exchange for Rasmus Andersson

EDIT: (Not 1 for 1 obviously)

  3. Aspirot has been really really good this year sucks to see him go down, yeah he’s not a star but he does his job and he does it well, another former Moncton wildcat, bruins have had lots of good luck with those players 😜, I think aspirot can be a 3rd pair d for the next 4-5 years for us tbh

  4. To me this is a Soderstrom being awful thing rather than a Lohrei thing, Kolyachonok has played a lot of RD this season even if he's a LD.

Also I feel like the Lohrei conversation in general around Bruins fans is very… weird to say the least. He isn't good defensively but at least I'm certain he brings an aspect with his play to the team that is useful. I cannot say that about Jokiharju, Peeke, Aspirot, or Soderstrom… ignoring Callahan because I've barely seen him, but I'd imagine he's probably in a similar boat. Because none of those guys are good defensively either.

  5. Lohrei benefits from watching the game from the press box every once in a while- he's always better for a stretch when he comes back. Just a little periodic reset

  6. I need someone to threaten Peeke – if anyone needs to sit it’s him.
I’ve previously said that he does need work defensively still, but he has the offensive ability (which seems to be struggling at the moment).
I know because of the side the conversation is around Lohrei, but by far he is not our weakest defenseman.

  7. This is not even worth making a video over. The guy has been on for more teams than singer Sam Smith and he's only 24! He's a left shot defenseman who reminds me of Jacob Zboril. He can have an AHL career with sporadic call ups, but he is not an NHL caliber defenseman. The reason Boston scooped him up was because we had injuries. It's not impacting the big club, but will help the baby B's.

  8. Take Vlad and for the love of hockey get rid of Lohrie.
He has done worse than nothing game after game and quite frankly he is softer than Carlo was.
When he's gained 20 lbs and got some f'n grit give him another chance.
    Just a thought…Have a nice day.

  9. Ahoy LoQual realm. Speaking from literally 0 experience with any real hockey coaching knowledge, just a pond hockey armchair fan… what does it take to try a defensemen at forward? Lohrei used to play forward yeah? And to me all the stupid mistakes he makes as a defensemen would be decidedly more excusable as a forward… I understand it’s probably a totally different structure, but could he not be (in a best case scenario) a long armed, big body, hard forecheck, dingle dangle, defensive forward? Like net front disaster for a goalie. And the instincts to defeat defenseman instead
Of trying some stupid shit when he’s the last one back… making the situation he’s in currently? Would it scramble his brain to practice both positions for a while? I guess little time for that during the season…

  10. Our injury rate seems exceptional this year, so yeah, a good grab with little downside. When you have a couple foreign players and pickup another of the same nationality, I've always wondered if there is a little bit of a side channel going on where they're like, "Yeah, countryman over here is quite good, just was isolated and couldn't bond with other team"' kind of insider knowledge.
Also, on this injury front, are we just having worse than normal luck on this (freak accidents like a real bad puck to the face) or are is there something in the new system now that we're putting ourselves in a more vulnerable position (physically)?

  11. A few of those Utah players just skated circles around us for most of the game it seemed we were always on our heels It seemed well at least more than they were

  12. why do the bruins refuse to bring up any of the youngsters from providence? there have been no shortage of opportunities to do so but still basicly no one got a shot at the nhl

  13. That's a mouthful of a name…..my oldest son is a Stars fan, and says that this is a very good pick up for the B's. He plays tough and isn't bad in the O zone with the puck. They need to sign him because he's a FA after the season.
