Pegula statement on an exhaustive search for a GM is ridiculous. All Pegula did is walk into Jarmo’s office and hire him as GM. Pegula pays more attention to the Buffalo Bills than he ever did to the Sabres. A novel idea would be is for Pegula to sell the Sabres to an owner that was only interested in the hockey team.
Mr Seravelli comments were exactly correct about Pegula search for a GM. Thank you Frank.
Adams had to knife a-lot of people in the back to get this position, never deserved the job and was a sycophant to Pegula. Glad to see this guy is gone!
Lindy was the easy choice but not the best guy needed for the situation. I simply don't trust Pegula to do what's critical going forward based on his tenure as owner.
Nice to hear some other people that aren't over the moon about them essentially just turning the part time GM into the full time GM.
Removing Lindy is a MAJOR mistake

14:24 lol Dumb comment with Brady Tkachuk. The guy is the most popular Captain in team history. Yes, even Alfredsson wasn’t this popular at the same point of his career. Alfie became a legend after years of big playoff moments. Even without that, Brady is so loved in Ottawa. In the community and on the ice. And hes one of the faces of American Hockey while also being beloved in the Capital of Canada. During this time in Canada / US relations. Like think on that for one second. It’s pretty exceptional. The team has finally gotten over the hump and into the post season and has an incredible young core (Stutzle, Pinto, Sanderson and Brady) locked in for minimum 4 years, including Brady. So anyone trying to think he might be available at earliest, its in 4 years. If that. Which by then, you’d expect Chicago is up and running.
Does Frank have a personal issue with Kekalainen? More than once he stated JK knifed Adams in the neck yet points out how bad the team was under Adams. Let's be serious here, Adams was incompetent, hired with no experience and was a yes man for Pegula. "He would not be a GM anywhere else" should tell you that. Why not mention the reason Botts didn't fire the people Pegula wanted gone?
At 4:00 mark they traded most for those guys because they asked for a trade
Anyways, who cares, the Sabres have a new GM with experience, let’s see what happens, until the actual players on the team give a full effort the team won’t be any good, the owner and GM are not on the ice.

Frank, the Sabres once hired Scotty Bowman. Go back see how that worked out. I'm good with Jarmo and I live here. He seems like what we need.
Frank, for being an insider, apparently lacks common sense. Read between the lines. For some reason Pegula was more than patient with Adams. Jarmo was clearly brought in to take over as GM. Why Pegula didnt just do this back in May, who knows. Ruff is going to their front office, so as soon as Jarmo gets a coach, the move will happen. Since it isn't a firing of Ruff, that's why it wasn't an immediate move. Skill is on the team, now that we've shed our incompetent GM, maybe someone like Pete would be willing to coach.
