It's funny looking at those grouchy faces after our management just pulled off one of the best trades in recent memory.
We are in December and some fans are going to watch more than half a season of hockey rooting for their team to lose? C'mon. We all know getting to the lottery does not guarantee a top pick. Also, even though Quinn was taken 7th overall, he played like a top 5 pick and how far did that get us? That narrative is flawed. I'm going to cheer for my team to win and if we can stay healthy, we can make this an interesting and fun season. Don't forget we were able to get Cootes in the mid-pack and how does that look? We have more picks than we've had in quite a while and lots of young players to get behind. If Demko can stay healthy, we can be competitive and in a short time we can see our players develop under a winning culture. Then when the time is right, we can pounce on a few veterans and compete for a cup in 2-4 years. That's my 'glass is half full' approach. Who's with me?!

When Rutherford publicly made that comment about Hughes wanting to play with his brothers in NJ, it's easy to see that tanked his trade value. No one would pay what Minnesota paid knowing that there was a good chance Hughes wouldn't sign an extension with their team…

Rangers fan here and you are definetley a better team then the one we beat in Early December .They out classed the Rangers all over the ice
Sherwood, kane and debrusk need to get moved now. Ensure the tank, figure it out next year. Maybe continue the tank another year if the next draft is stacked again
Sherwood will go to a top playoff contender and the pick is late in the first or most liklely second round. I would rather keep him and pay him. JUst play Lankinen at least 50% of the remaining games and I'm good.
Man i like Demko but he gets hurt when we need him. Get someone to bite on a trade and take it. He just destroys our draft position.
Real players dont tank
Quinn was not playing well and he was prohibiting the team from moving forward.
Quinn played 30 minutes a game and the rest of the players were turned into “watchers” not doers.
You could never play a team game with Quinn in the lineup.
Also maybe the worst captain I have ever watched.

Boeser is a nice guy but not the sniper we need on the power play.
Petey is just fine and was our best forward before he got hurt.
With Rossi in the lineup the matchups will get better and hopefully Blueger can get back.

I wouldn't want any player that was willing to tank. I wouldn't support any coach who wanted to tank. Those guys who would don't have any integrity & will never win a Stanley Cup.

The main reason for failure is the coach (Tocchet = cannot coach east west), Miller (worst ever and not captain material) and Hughes (puck hog, did not pass, and def never captain material – what a joke). The team is starting to look good with these poisons gone.
