Imagine Liam Öhgren when he is 26-27 years old in front of the net and in the corners!

“The #Canucks want (Liam Öhgren) to be an asset. Imagine what he is going to look like when he is 26-27 years old, shirking guys off at the net front and in the corners”

  1. I see Öhgren as a Nils Höglander type of middle 6 forward, albeit with more size. Hopefully turns into a 20-25+ goal scorer on a consistent basis that’ll be hard on the forecheck, and be absolutely relentless on the puck. Might not have quite as good of hands as, Höglander, but tbh even Nils stick/pucks skills haven’t fully translated to the NHL. Rossi, Ögren and Garland could be a fun makeshift second line after EP40 is back.

  2. I was pretty bummed as a Wild fan that he was the 3rd of 4 pieces going the other way. I'd still do the Quinn trade if that's the price, but keeping one of our good forward prospects would've been nice. Now all we really have is Stramel coming up.

  3. When he tipped in the shot the other day. Ohgren shirk off the defence men in front of the net 😂😂😂

  4. The bottom 6 in Min dont score much. Put him on a line with JEK and Boldy amd itbis easy 50pts. For the most part rookies are not established untill after 4 years lets say. If hr playing every other game on bottom 6, he not going to produce.

Kinda just makes me think why draft skill when their other aspects in the game.

Example. Lundell. He is a 3rd liner. A S tier 3rd line C. Jordan stall territory. Thats way more valubable then getting a "Potentioal" 30 goal scorer in quinn and holtz. Like its almost a known value because if a player is good defnesiy, responiaable, plays importanr min, reads plays well…. its an easier translation.

Imagine Lundell on Buf or NJ. Point is ironically points are not a direct outcome to winning the cup. Look qt McDavid. 2x b2b finalsits. Not champion.

I know you cant fully know how good a player can be, but look at Det. Finnie that good twf a 7th rounder is what they nerded to be a complete team. Very rarley in any drafts are their complete players.

Like lets be honest. Not every player socring goals before drfted is gunna surpass 500g in their carear.

I know i went on a tangent but ill end it off with the NHL is ecpericning a plethera of talent not being utlizized souly due to the point of having those role players. Leaders. Veterans. All of the stuff u cant see on the stat sheet reallt makes the diffrenfe.

Lundells line feels like its always on the gas peddle and giving life to the team. Even if its just a simple play or just playong well. This is what seprates good teams to bad teams.

A good player dosent mean you have a good team. Hello Nashville.
