Andre Miller is one of the most underrated point guards in NBA history, and he sat down with Matt to share his journey on and off the court. From his unlikely path through Utah to becoming the NBA’s iron man, Miller explains how he managed such incredible longevity without the modern training craze. He dives into stories about Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, and what it was like getting traded for Allen Iverson. Miller also reflects on the “death of the point guard,” pickup runs with John Stockton and the Jazz, and the unforgettable moments that defined his 17-year career. This episode is packed with gems from one of the game’s most respected veterans.

One of the OG point guards of the 2000s.
I met Andre Miller at Dockweiler Beach in Cali (he’s from LA, as am I) in 2009 as a teenager. He was so down to earth, said what’s up to my friends and I, and got a pic! Much respect to Andre.
Fantastic interview.
Andre miller one of my favorite players ever
No LA dudes be wanting to play for the Clippers 😂😂
Fav all time player!!!
Sacramento Kings legend 😂 OG was fun to watch.
Tha way miller speaks about tha game he would be a great coach in tha nba no doubt 💯🔥
At 24:24 I miss that type of basketball even Blake knew he was a bull
Andre Miller played like a point guard. Very similar skill set to John Stockton. You understand that when you listen to him say… go to the rim. He put people in positions to succeed
Get Andre Iguodala on the show
I remember watching him at Utah wondering, "WHAT THE HELL??" He was a real quiet, consistent, solid player. He had a quiet career but good.
Great interview
Still waiting on the Van Horn ep
#wattsup watts is loaded with culture
Loved Dre in Cleveland his 1st NBA stop!!!
That Nuggets team, Andre, Melo, JR, Kenyon, Birdman. I'm a Twolves lifer, but during that time, I wanted the Nuggets to demolish everyone too
What a fun Ute he was. I was hoping he would join the coaching staff with Alex.
Whack ass Stack, he not a great interviewer.
Wow, what a remarkable mindset.
Excellent interview. I was in High school during Millers Ute days. I remember those scrimmages at Westminster College. The Jazz didn’t have its own workout facility back then. Fans could come watch. We’d obviously want to hoop but never got to. It was neat to watch John and Horny pull him aside. I knew he would be a great pro, and he was . He was definitely underrated for his time. He was a baller. He knew his role and played it perfectly. Run the offense. I felt if given the chance to run an offense for a good 6-7 years that team could have made some noise, simply because they had a game manager in there. One of the best lop passers I’ve seen. Dude was throwing lobs to Malone and Russell. Yes, no joke,
He even threw one to John. Yes, John Stockton could in fact dunk. He never wanted to or needed to. But he could. Ton of respect for Andre and always great to see Utah get some love. Stockton would be a great interview if you’d ask him. Hornacek. Russell. Some of those Jazz guys that battled MJ in the finals.
Met Jordan a few years later. He owned a motorcycle club and Larry Miller just built his racetrack. I was with my uncle watching some F2 cars practice, with motorcycles and other cars. I heard someone say MJ was there. Well lo and behold I’m walking behind the grand stand in front of the garages and I see MJ with 2 big body guards next to him. All I could say was damn I hate your guts, but, you’re the GOAT. He laughed and said thanks. Meant it as a compliment and I’m glad he took it that way. My heart has still not recovered from those days
I first saw Andre Miller in high school when he was a junior at Verbum Dei and went down to my high school Loyola High in LA for the Christmas tourney against Toby Bailey. Loyola couldn't contain him because he was so quick… 🔥
I would like to see Kevin Porter(true point guard) Washington Bullets, Detroit Piston and New Jersey Net. First to record 1000 assists in a season, three time assist leader. only 5'!0" interviewed very unsung
49:05 Keith Van Horn is one of those NBA mysteries to me. Why he didn’t ever become more of a superstar. Never even made an all star team once. I think getting traded constantly and never having a home after he left New Jersey just harmed him.
We need chris Anderson in all the smoke
10/10 episode🔥🔥🔥Andre Miller x Matt Barnes cooked🔥🔥🔥
45:02 AYOOOOOOOO
I Seen André in Grand Rapids 😂 I knew it was too good to be true. He thought he was going to Colorado. 1:45
Him and Sleepy Floyd were my favorite PGs ever
"I started bringing all my homeboys to practice" LMAO Andre being a blood is something I didn't expect
Andre miller was always one of my favorite True Point Guard he had the true science of the game good for 7 assist ah game 19 points 3 steals just a solid fun to watch player!
Underrated guard in the league cus they want you to be all glossed up that’s what I hate about the league and like he said Brandon Roy was a freak a year true natural shoot the mid range an three ball one of the greatest two guards of all time in my opinion!
