So the Minnesota Wild are playing some great hockey but they’re stuck in 3rd place in their division so I wanted to look at where exactly they stood if they were in the other 3 divisions.

What's crazy is the Wild have the 3rd best record in the NHL and if the playoffs started right now, they wouldn't even have home ice advantage in the first round.

On the topic of playoff, my interest falls with 5v5 play. Fewer penalties and OT being 5v5.
Against Dallas Minnesota is 3 goals to 1. 6 of the Stars 7 goals against The Wild this year have come during special teams or open net.
Between the Wild and Avs both teams have equal goals in 5v5 regulation (ended in shootout).
Those stats were before Hughes and the Wild were missing key stars.
All I'm saying is that people are writing the Wild off in the first round and the stats just don't support that. Wild play Avs in 11 hours from now and both teams are healthy, we'll see if that shapes a narrative.
just sounds like a lot of whining this happens from time to time Minnesota is a really good team with the addition of Hughes they should continue to climb slowly

To add to what you have said, this is the second 7 game win streak the Wild are on. And we have gained ground, but it is slow. Because like you said, the don't have any challenging games.
The West in general is way stronger than I. The east just look at scoring leaders which teams they play and the big stars McDavid , McKinnon, Bedard, celebrini. Who the east got ? Matthews he's having a bad season. Kucherov? Same Tkachuk well he's hurt I could go on but you get the picture… Also thank you for video about Minnesota my favorite team 🙂
