He must have done something really bad for him to get released because other NHL players that have had alcohol issues were never released. There's definitely something more to it. He said that it did not involve any teammates or their family members, but maybe he made a move on a female staff working with the team while he was drunk.
That was genuine contrition and kudos to Corey for being man enough to take responsibility. He would be great in a canucks uniform… after some treatment… good job Mr. Perry.

Perhaps if Perry had engaged in the far less serious crimes of committing TREASON by taking bribes from China, the Ukraine and Roumania and not reporting the income and then secretly distributing it to members of his family, then instead of being punished he could apply for membership in the Biden crime family because that is too unimportant for the mainstream media to expose…to make a sarcastic political commentary.
What could Perry possibly have done to deserve this draconian punishment ? He hit on Bedard's mother ? He slept with her ? If that's what it is, as the speculation runs rampant, remember that it takes TWO to tango.
If Perry is a drunk, a drug addict, gambled on hockey, assaulted a staff member, peed in the gatorade, robbed a corner store, OR slept with a family member of the coach, ownership or a sponsor … NONE of those stories are as amusing and gossip worthy, and jump the sports page to the real world. If Perry did ANY OTHER thing besides knockin' boots with' the rookie superstar's mom, the NHL and Hawks should admit it, and the rumours fade. But they won't. They only said Perry didn't do anything illegal. Mum luvin is not illegal. Its just humiliating to the Next Great One. So …either he had to go, or Perry had to go.
