Other than a Fowler mistake and an empty net goal it was a 2-1 game.

Mistakes are always big with the Habs this year. At least 2 of the mistakes made it hard for Fowler. The goal he left the puck behind the net is a rookie mistake and he will learn from that one. I feel like the 'concept' needs so much mental alertness in a brutal schedule… maybe simplify the 'concept' to avoid the number of mental breakdowns? Someone who can win faceoffs… Phil Danault. A Veteran… Phil Danault. Probably about as good as it gets for an in year pick up and the type of players who is much needed… what would it take?

So, insert Xehkaj back into the lineup and suddenly the giveaways come back to haunt them, no matter if he's on or off the ice. His presence is a jinx to the defence! Also, replace Bolduc with Texier on the 1st line!

The Habs might have a better team on paper but Philly has a real pro coach with LOTS and fu—ing LOTS of NHL COACHING EXPERIENCE. The Habs have a narcissistic, petulant Frenchman whose ONLY fuc–ing coaching experience was coaching his son's Peewee team. Who's more stupid? MSL or the idiot owner and GM of the team who hired him? There is a reason MSL is the ONLY French coach in the NHL. The other teams hire the best person available. They know how to run a pro sports franchise. It's about winning the CUP, stupid, not about playing politics.
I think it's about time we work out a package for a legit top 6 talent. We can wait on reinbacher a bit, but I think we gotta consider getting someone for the second line

Goaltending is not the issue. The offence was awful. They cant seem to get shots in the goal. They constantly miss open opportunities. Like theyre missing the whole goal on a brekaway its just bad shooting.

I was in attendance at the game, my first game at the Bell Centre and the players (Habs) seemed to not have urgency and drive and were skating slow. Boring. The fans were quieter too because of this, I didn't sense the electric atmosphere people often talk about. The players did sort of wake up in the 3rd period, but was too late. They seriously need to consistently play with the urgency to win the cup
Monty can only stay up to 14 days (up to Dec. 30th) and likely only play up to 3 games. Rocket's schedule in that time is on the 18th and 20th @ the Cleveland Monsters and/or vs the Syracuse Crunch on the 27th and 28th. Maybe getting him temporary outside Montreal will give him some time to think clearly and maybe get better advice from Marco Marciano (Rocket's goalie coach) as I don't trust Eric Raymond.

It’s not entirely the goalies , but Fowler is not wowing me. This team is just weak and not built right.
Meanwhile the Bruins who were supposed to have a down year are crushing it and seemed to find a retread who will pop in 60 goals this year. Montreal needs to stop falling in love with their prospects and use some of these assets for trades
I would moderate the opinions about what a great goalie Fowler is. He doesn't have it yet. Please let Dobeš play.
