This is becoming a heated rivalry…

The Anaheim Ducks vs. Seattle Kraken heated rivalry keeps getting messier, and this latest matchup had everything — missed calls, special teams disasters, and outright chaos. Despite a strong overall effort, the Ducks fall 3–1 as Lukas Dostal once again had to stand on his head behind a power play that continues to sink this team. Goals, posts, and big chances from Troy Terry, Jackson LaCombe, and Mikael Granlund weren’t enough as the Kraken capitalized on their opportunities. The game completely unraveled with controversial hits involving Tye Kartye, Ross Johnston, and a breakdown in officiating that led to fines and zero accountability. With Anaheim now just 6-for-62 on the power play over their last 22 games, major changes are needed. The Ducks head into the holiday break searching for consistency before taking on the Los Angeles Kings, with Leo Carlsson expected to return. #nhl #hockey #anaheimducks #seattlekraken

  1. Getting both reff'd and goalie'd in the same game is unlucky, but the refs have not been in the Ducks favour many games this season. I would like to se the Ducks step up and be more physical earlier in the games, make the opponents pay, but that doesn't seem to be coach Q style of play to prefer. Oh and yeah, still need new special-teams formations and Terry's passing has been abysmal the last what, 7-8 games? Not a single pass has been right, horrible…

  2. No luck with the goal posts.

I'm not too sure about interference with Granlund.

They were tied up at the ducks' blue line a little bit… After separating, Granny initiated contact cutting to the left while entering seattle's zone

  3. This was a frustrating game to say the least. Sucks had so many scoring chances but we just couldn’t get the damn puck in the net. For passes there was always a Kraken player/stick in the way, always. Their goalie was having the game of his life out there. The refs made so many bad calls.

With that goal that was taken back, what is the rule on that? Is “possession” achieved by just poking the puck?

What a bad game. We really needed to end things on a good note before the break.

  4. Man what happened. The Ducks had a blistering start to the season. Now they can’t find a grove. I think the Ducks should try take a page out of Detroits book for veteran scouting next season. It’s working really well for them currently. Also the Special teams is killing this team. 27th on the PK last I checked and 24th on Power Play is not going to get this team to the post season. The final thing is the Defense. It has got to improve, especially allowing 8 goals on 16 shots against Dallas

  5. I said it before and I'll say it again: Make Refs do postgame pressers and we will instantly see them get better.
Also that no goal was just a joke. Need possession. Ive seen that kinda play let go countless times.

  6. Guarantee the boys are all buying Ross a nice Christmas present to more than cover his fine

  7. Love watching the new systems and letting the players play to their strengths, but the sloppy passing needs to be cleaned up as well as the turn overs. Hope during the break they work on the power play. If we can stay around 20-22% and above, it will make a big difference! This is a game we should have won but their goalie was good…we needed more distraction in front of him. Go Ducks!
