Michael Jordan Reflects on How Pat Riley and the Knicks Fueled His Competitive Fire #shorts #viral

In Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame induction speech in 2009, he spoke about how Pat Riley and the New York Knicks provided motivation throughout his career.

Jordan mentioned how facing tough teams and rivalries, particularly against the Knicks coached by Riley, pushed him to elevate his game.

The battles with the Knicks in the playoffs during the 1990s, known for their physical play and intense competitiveness, fueled Jordan’s competitive fire and contributed to his legendary status in basketball history.

  1. MJ is an ULTRA conceited self-absorbed POS… when he would go out to dinner, he wouldn’t leave a tip, saying in all seriousness’she got to wait on me, that was her tip.

I would’ve left the tip by throwing the money at him. I LOATHE people who take advantage &/or treat service people poorly. AND b/c you can put a ball through a hoop? Yup the world is better off you’re in it!

  2. I'm an MJ fan. But I don't like his speech. All are laughing but he still competing in his speech and dead serious. But that's MJ.

  3. Jordan was real

what he showed to the public was what he really was, like Muhammed Ali and Babe Ruth before him and the public recognized that and appreciated him more for it

    lebron is fake

a marketing tool who is not even close to what he pretends himself to be. the public recognizes that and dont appreciate the con game he and Klutch Sports are playing. we are not that stupid. lebron is like Lance Armstrong and Barry Bonds before him. fans feel betrayed and rightly so

  4. The most friendly kille on the court. He used to smile kindly while killing the confidence of the opposing players, sometimes even give them compliments, saying they did well after droping 45 or 50 on them.

  5. Everyone blames Krause and yes he was an ass, but for me the blame is 80% on Reinsdorf he could've restructured Pippens contract after 92 and made MJ the highest level at any point. The irony is Krause understood high level talent he wanted to trade Pippen for TMac. My biggest problem with Krause is he always missed on his 1st round picks after Horace.

  7. Listen pat riley was the originator of Jordan being a con man he didn’t want his players hanging with Mike because he knew they legitimately all loved him and mike loved those guys as well let’s not forget he almost signed with the Knicks in free agency until Jerry reinsdorff realized we might really lose him and gave him what he deserved
