Last night at TD Garden, the Montreal Canadiens delivered a huge road victory, beating the Boston Bruins 6–2 behind an explosive third period. After a tight opening 40 minutes — with the Bruins leading 2–1 and then tied 2–2 — Montreal erupted for five straight goals, four of them in a span of about five minutes in the final frame.
The Canadiens balanced scoring up and down the lineup: Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, Ivan Demidov, Cole Caufield, and Zack Bolduc all found the back of the net as Montreal took control. Lane Hutson and Noah Dobson each dished out three assists, spearheading the attack. Rookie goalie Jacob Fowler made 26 saves in a strong showing between the pipes.

People are starting to realize that Slaf is the cog that makes line 1 so dominant, and currently, line 2. Its an amazing surprise to see that at 21, he is taking a huge step already this season. I believe our cup window will be when Slaf is in his prime at 25-29.

Good game but my goodness are the Bruins announcers terrible. I know every team has homer announcers but those guys are over the top ridiculous. And honestly it's bad for the sport. The fans already think the league and the refs are screwing over their favourite team but then you get the announcers basically confirming it for them.

Hey Whiskey, just a fun fact that I thought you would like to know, last night after the game i was watching the La Poche Bleue podcast and they talked about Demidov going on the 2nd powerplay. They said that with Demidov on the powerplay they have scored 12 times on 48 attempts and with Bolduc 11 times on 47 attempts. And at first i was mad to that they moved him down to the second but La Poche Bleue talked about when the other teams PK is aggressive they try to have Bolduc there so they can feed him on the bumper and when the other teams PK is more passive they put Demidov. I especially love how Demidov's goal was almost an EXACT copy of Newhook's goal against Ottawa from a few weeks back.
Intercepted a pass while coming up the middle and ended up scoring.
Anderson and Wi-Fi need to work on their pugilistic aspect.

The great thing about Fowler is that he waits out the players. Once the player commits, that's usually when Fowler makes his move. So good to see such patience in someone so young. He's got a bright future ahead of him.

Bolduc on the no. 1 power play works only if facing a PK that doesn't apply pressure. Bolduc is essentially a 1-trick pony – he shoots. Like Anderson, he can't handle the puck, so expecting him to be able to react to pressure from the PK defenders is a mistake. He cannot fend off a defender or make precision passes, so unless he parks in the slot, against a high-pressure PK unit, if he's on the ice, it's essentially 4-on-4. One would think that they would have learned a lesson from the dismal performance on the PK against Boston last time they met. Thankfully the B's couldn't help themselves and the 5-on-3 PP worked, otherwise, this could have turned out completely differently.
I feel like the Bruins were in this until that awful challenge and their usual lack of discipline didn't help, look we ran with it but it still shows we do struggle a bit against teams with bigger bodies, Fowler was incredible too some if those saves were absurd!!!

Fowlers composure is absolutely insane. His movement is so smooth and his decisions have been top notch! He never lets a goal shake his play or his confidence. Whoever his coach is, we need to bring him up!
L1 really need to step up, was nice to see them all pickup one last night. Nice to see that our bottom lines are stepping up but we really need L1 to find their groove again. Danault i think did bring some stability on the ice in that lower lineup which was nice!
This game definitely LIVED up to the hype was a crazy one! The Boston announcers were super salty and their accents my lord they sent me – "FAWWWWLAAAH" 😂
