10:09 so there has been a good deal of research put into dark vs light pads for hockey specifically. Light pads do make calls easier, however they also make the goaltender appear larger than they are, obscure net vs ice vs pads, and make finding the edges of gear harder on the shooter. Darker pads make the goaltender appear smaller, annoy goal calls, but also expose gaps and weaknesses more easily. Its all nearly negligible on a seasonal basis, but game to game and attempt to attempt, they have their ups and downs.
