The sharks are 1 and 3 with Will Smith injured but the good news is the team should tank now. The sharks are both close to a playoff spot and getting a top 10 pick in the draft at the same time which is interesting. Mike Grier has been right on 2 out of 3 top 4 picks so give him another. Misa obviously still could be an all star level player when healthy. Making the playoffs and losing in the first round is generally not the way to build a cup winner look at the wild. "The Minnesota Wild currently hold the modern record for consecutive first-round playoff exits, with eight straight first-round losses through the 2024-25 season" The majority of NHL teams their wins are generally meaningless and only hurt the team in every round of the draft. There is only a few that it leads to a cup win or winning 2 or more rounds upcoming where it would.

I understand it's a rebuilding team that is honestly ahead of schedule being near a wild card spot but I definitely hoped that lopsided results like this were left in 2023-24. The first period was just brutal. Some of the worst hockey you'll see a team play in a period. At the very least glad Macklin scored a goal. Sorry for Askarov that this is gonna hurt his stats.
The match was men against boys.
It takes few years for Sharks to grow up.
Hart could have taken a cafe in first period without beeing disturbed.
