Kyle Freaking Dubas, it is time to trade big players, it’s been a long time and it’s time to act. Karlsson, Letang, Graves are not working, so many players are +30 years old and out of them propably only Rust, Rackell and Crosby are worth it
This game was there for the taking, and the Pens gave it away…Toronto sucks, and yet…this was the worse loss of the year in my opinion…it really showed how this team lacks the desire and discipline to play the right way for 60 minutes…especially the veterans… Kid line's best game of the year, Novak and Brazeau and Shea played very well…you're spot on with their analysis… Safe travels home
I wouldn't write this season off if the schedule wasn't so unbelievably ridiculous. This team cannot sustain during such a jampacked november and december and i can't imagine it being any better after the olympics for which most of these players are probably gonna be thinking about and prioritizing post new-year. Combine that with 2 games in over two weeks with the sweden trip and the clear biased officiating against us. It just isn't smart to put any stock into this teams postseason appearance.
When do the Hoffman's take over Dan? That purchase is NO good on the face of it. FSG, a big pocket sports owner wants out and they sell to this group which smells of Nutting in that they don't have enough money for a sports team… the purchase is damn near at their total wealth. Hockey teams are not really all that profitable. See FSG wanting out. And they have no experience really with owning teams.. and at a time when the Penguins are going to suck for some time unless they win the next superstar lottery and that is not as easy as when Crosby Malkin and Lemieux were drafted. So the gate revenue is going to suffer once Crosby is gone… And Dubas is no Craig Patrick.. Troubled time ahead bro.

Malkin and Lizotte cannot come back soon enough. The team will still have defensive lapses but will have a better 2nd & 4th line and penalty killing.

Get Karlson off the roster. Get him the hell out of Pittsburgh. Spend cap $ on a decent defenseman. St Ivany isn’t ready for the NHL either.
