  1. All leafs fans can do is whine. Funny how they never see when the rules a for them. But always crying when it’s against them. Stop playing the victim card. Your team just sucks

  2. Sometimes I wonder if the league is extra hard on the Leafs to try to get rid of the view that the league is biased towards Toronto. I mean, it isn’t working if that’s the case, but still…

  3. I hope the leafs management went off on the dops or said something about how crazy the suspension is and nothing for the kneeing. This is ridiculous

  4. Typical anti leafs behaviour from the league. The terrorist state russia has more credibility than George Perros and his cronies

  5. I'm often reminded how Sam Bennett grabbed Rookie Knies by the head and slammed him into the ice, giving him a concussion and didn't even get a hearing.

  6. League just keep saying hey we got palm trees down here 😂 just Toronto getting the stick up from the league again 😂

  7. George Paros, and the whole NHL executive for that matter, is a disgusting biased pile of shite. The injuries the Leafs have had from clearly intentional actions, without any “player safety” outcomes, continues to grow. Just the fact that the son of a senior NHL executive (Colin Campbell) works in management for the Florida Panthers – who got away with murder in last year’s playoffs, with Bennett targeting Stolarz’ head), should NEVER be allowed. It is a conflict of interest in every sense, but the NHL turns its head and laughs. The Leafs are the most penalized teams in terms of suspensions in recent years. Just think about that… look at the roster… does that make any sense? No, but in an American run NHL, it continues.

  8. The most important thing to remember in this League is: Be dirty as long as you attack people unprovoked, if you do anything close to retaliation you're going to Guantanamo. If you injure someone, just make sure it's not as a response to a dirty play. You lead with the dirty play and then you collect PP's when the other team reacts!

  9. Still glad he did it. Leafs need to learn the rules are only suggestions. Hit hard, hit first, apologize to no one!

  10. The league is a joke. Just look how they referee in the playoffs. Let’s get some consistency. Bring the goons back.. no

  11. Joke of a league 😂.
    No consistency at all.
Bobby should’ve just broken the guys leg instead , apparently that’s legal

  12. It’s George Parros gives the suspension please! DOPS is George Parros. DOPS is to be pronounced as “dopes”.

moving forward it’s “George Parros and DOPES” please.

  13. sure but the problem is there is no discipline on the tampa players that hurt Murmis knees and cross checking on Mcmann.. biased management

  14. Toronto shouldn't respond with words- they should just spend some time putting together a video with all the head whacks of the last handful of years that did not result in a suspension. Then post it on all social media accounts with zero commentary, and await the NHL's response.

Don't get me wrong- I agree with the suspension- we cannot at any time allow players to use their sticks as weapons like this on the ice- but not suspending previous offenders, particularly repeat offenders, and then laying down the law on a first-time offender? Chaos.

  15. Clear favoritism for Tampa and against the Leafs. Am I crazy in thinking the Leafs always get jobbed. ALWAYS. Think about all the Kadri/Bunting situations.

  16. 2:01 I've watched this play a bunch of times, and if the league wouldn't even give a penalty to Jacob Trouba's clear headshot on an unsuspecting Ryan Leonard, the Leafs should count their blessings that the refs blew the whistle, let alone that Goncalves got ejected. This is Leafs bias as he's not targeting Mermis's knee. He angles his skate at the same time Mermis is trying to jerk out of the way. You can't call it targeting when both guys are required to make moves at the same time for knee-on-knee action. If Goncalves doesn't angle his skate to slow down, it's a harder hit further up the leg and probably not an injury. If Mermis doesn't move, it's a hard, clean hit into the boards that happens all the time. Not targeting and certainly does not appear to be intent to injure (to be clear, he's clearly trying to cause Mermis some momentary discomfort or pain, but not knock him out of games).

  17. There is a match penalty in the rules for intent to injure. Match penalty and game misconduct.

  18. Cheese, man! I think you need to look at the replay again, but with a less bias view this time. In my opinion, Goncalves came down to cover the puck carrier because Mermis had the puck and no one was nearby to protect him; he did not come with the intention of hurting Mermis. Did anyone actually think that because Goncalves was a few strives away from Mermis, he was not to skate over to cover him because it would to look bad if he did. If Mermis had not been in possession of the puck, then yes, it would have looked bad for Goncalves' action.

  19. There has always been a double standard not only against the Leafs but against Canadian teams. Fans aren't important money is. We need a new league.

  20. Does anybody know how to look up how many suspensions a Toronto Maple Leafs player has been assessed vs how many suspensions a player from another team has been assessed while committing an infraction against a Leaf? Over say the last 10 or 15 years. I would bet it's something like 25 – 1.

  21. Not to defend George Parros and Florida Panthers Department of Player safety but that play by McMann should 100% be a suspendable play. No excuse to use your stick as a weapon. That being Said Sam Bennett should have had 5+ games worth of suspensions against the Leafs in the playoffs.

  22. The suspension is proper…the fact that the NHL ignored the knee on knee, speaks to what a third rate managed organization.

  23. Proof the league hates Toronto !!! I'd tell the NHL to fuck off and pack up my team !! NHL is a fucking joke

  24. Parros is such a joke. This league is such a joke. And its not that it shouldnt have been a suspension, its because other players have gotten less for worse offences.

  25. Bobby McMann's actions were far more dangerous than that knee-on- knee accident he could have taken a life swinging that stick at somebody's head

  26. Dino Ciccarelli & Marty McSorely went to court/jail and Zdeno Chara was investigated

Austin Matthews (on Rasmusun) & Brendan Gallagher (Chicken wing Islander) only suspensions.

Players on US teams vs players on Canadian teams, double standard! If McCann had received Oliver would be in jail. Call me when a player on a Canadian team faces off ice justice in Canada.

  27. The stick absolutely hits his head lol, glancing blow but without a doubt hit his head as the initial point of contact.
