Nylander to me has always been on and off with his effort. Maybe he had a bad attitude. He gives the minimal effort some games. I say bench him. Teach him hes not the team. Make him earn his spot. Ride the pine bud someone has to teach these guys a lesson. Bench the big guys when they dont perform

I seriously think if you change the coach. Then Willy and Auston turn the switch back on then you trade them both at the deadline. Because for sure they quit on the coach. But also on the club and the fan's as well and that shouldn't be acceptable. Fan's pay a lot of money to go watch these guy's quit at some point they need to e held accountable to not just the coach.

I proposed trading Matthews to LA for Byfield, Clarke and picks 18 months ago on this very site. People Laughed. Now you are finally seeing what has been painfully obvious since their playoff loss in 2024. I’m not sure LA does that deal today.

If you bring in a new coach and they start flying again they will always turn into a pumpkin when the going gets tough. It's over because this core group will never have it when it's on the line anyways. Get the assets when you can and change the culture with dogs with bite

If there is a trade btw the Leafs and Kings for Matthews. Kings don't have anyone. Byfield ? You know what would happen. As soon as he's puts on the leafs jersey he will turn soft. It's not coming this year. We lost the back to back against Detroit in the preseason. Montreal rocked us like a month ago. It's been obvious. Even if they crawl back in, it'll be another dismal performance. Blues cup years don't happen for the Leafs. Tear down. Trade the stars for picks…but Treliving is not the GM to do that. Hire Boudreaux as interim coach while we're at it
The "No Cookies" situation, is part of a systemic, underlying problem between Sammy and this program, but specifically – and more importantly – his utter distain for Mr. Kypreos.
