squarely on berube now no excuses they weren't even practicing the power play so why do you need a power play coach my guess is NOTHING changes they won't play for berube so until he's gone we can look for more of the same from this team

It's the damn players not the coach, the players can't execute anything. Toronto has also put themselves in this position with as many no movement clauses as they have but it's the players not executing.

There is a God. Finally after I have been complaining for so long about how a guy doing so terribly at his job yet he was still there. Justice has been served unfortunenate Christmas for him but he was well past expired in my book. Treliving knows that as each of these dominos falls i.e. powerplay coach, than head coach….the reaper is coming to his door soon maybe not this season for him, but it better turn around fast or else we'll be talking about him next Christmas or before.

There is no new hire because Berube is next, now that they have made the first move it will be some breathing time and then if no change then bammm. These guys said that it wasn't the powerplay coach months ago and I have been saying forever that he was one of the major problems. Check the comments over the past months .The team has quit on their coach and the reason treliving hasn't got a new pp coach is because he is going to see how Berube does and if it keeps going downhill its bye bye the coaching staff. They HAVE to make the playoffs in the eyes of MLSE ….oh and sell Jersey's LOL…

Why don’t they start with the guy new to the coaching staff from last year? It’s clear something. Is wrong. It’s the same guys and different. Moral. Start with a his the coaches you just hired. ? Why is that not talked about. ? Look at Detroit now that he’s gone ??
Don’t hire a power play coach tell them to figure out themselves. Give it a time frame if they don’t. Trying new guys.
They are playing scared to make mistakes not going for it. Might be over coached. You beee to find effort before any system or details will work

Savard should have been let go long ago. Better late than never, but this year is toast. Get through the holidays, then let Berube go and replace him with a temporary coach to ride out the year. After the season ends hire a new coach and let him select his assistant staff and start next year on a positive note. If the leadership players don't get off to a good start next year it's time for "Let's Make A Deal."

A dismal pp cost us a few games earlier in the season. Its all off the rails now. Season is close to out of reach.

This sounds like a minor move to mollify the fans. Bag skate the players. Get them to buy in. Bench them if they don't. Bring up minor leaguers. Couldn't be any worse, and it might shame certain players into actually giving a damn.
