  1. Sometimes i feel like drance thinks stats is all there is to hockey. As if this game is played on an Excel spreadsheet.

  2. Drance is right. Despite the vibes being good for now in a 4-0 run….this team still needs to look towards a long term trajectory, selling is still the right thing to do despite being only 6 points away from a wildcard spot. The Canucks still need to build for the new core, not continuing to do patch work with this current broken core of players.

  3. 6 points away from a Wild Card… 1 point away from again being LAST – love the positivity but folks need to chill. This team should continue to rebuild

  4. Let's cut through all the Canucks talking heads Yadda-yadda and get down to the basic facts. At the halfway point in the season, they have traded away their only superstar player (except for Demko) and got three great players in return. They have won the last four games and are no longer at the very bottom of the league and Pacific Division. That's OK but it's hardly "Red Hot". Yes, things have improved, but it's extremely unlikely they will make the playoffs once again. They still have the most over-rated, over-paid player in the NHL in Elias Petterson EP40, who is only at #128 in the NHL League Leaders list. All the other Canucks are below him. Nobody is scoring goals and making assists. Until EP40 starts earning his huge contract and lives up to expectations, and other Canucks step up as well —- this team is just putting in time until the season ends and they all hit the golf course. The loyal Canucks fans deserve a lot better.

  5. 4:55 I've been saying this for a month now. When the Canucks were 32nd in the league, it wasn't at all comparable to a couple of years ago when the Sharks were dead last. A lot more points being spread around this season. This is shaping up to be a real banger of a season for the NHL. The trade deadline could either be crazy, or most teams sit on what they have and hope to make that 16 team cut. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

  6. Drance may be right, but I'll be darned if he doesn't feel like the Grinch.
Canucks Talk used to be my absolute favorite , go to show, even during lean times..however the last year or so, it has been so negative, but also sarcastic..I don't know why exactly, but the vibes are kinda gross. They aren't wrong, but it's the way they deliver all the doom and gloom, that just kinda made it unlistenable lately.

  7. Name all the NHL goalies that won Stanley Cups in their 30's ,Drance.
The list is extensive and that is why you retain elite goaltenders.

  8. Drance is never right. He was marketing for the Florida Panthers when they were bad he's clueless. Definitely no hockey expert

  9. Every game they're outshot. The only thing keeping us competitive is demko. This team cannot win long term without a rebuild

  10. Hughes was like a dark cloud over the team. The best player and captain didn't want to be here. The 3 who came in do want to be here. Demko? Great goaltender when healthy. But he is often not healthy. Imo, now would be a great time to move him for draft picks. I believe Lankinen and Tolopilo can manage the net.

  11. Thomas is one of the most needed and valuable voices in the Canucks media market!

  12. All I’ve seen is a team playing well with young players all over the organization.
A team that had tough injuries and are getting healthy.
Play to win and wait until the last minute on trade deadline to decide if the value is worth it.
If I was Alvin I would put the phone on mute and let the team play.

  13. Thomas Drance is so DEAD ON every time I hear him talk. He's become the one analyst that I always tune in for.
