Not working? Didn't you win the East last year? Just cant admit you're window has closed and you have overpaid players and are done.
It feels like we went back a decade, you can see that look in some of the players faces. I’m not saying Willy is saying that, I think he means he’s just on a down curve and will bounce back soon.
I really hope they work to get Matthews and Nylander out of here, I know they have no trade agreements, but goddamn…. just bench Nylander at this point, and if Matthews doesn't get the message bench him too, make them ask to leave.
Best thing they can do is miss the playoffs to force organizational decisions that otherwise would be made 3 years later after 3 more years of false hope with this group.

It's very simple, they are not a good team anymore. Is Matthews capable of emotion? Trade him for 2 or 3 good players. The guy has been a Leaf for 10 years and nothing to show for it! He is no leader. Nylander…… I just don't know….WOW!

Why am I listening to someone pump up Tre!!! He has made two of the worst trades in leafs history. Get rid of MR Dithers before he does anymore damage. He ruined the flames team for probably the next 5 years. His teams were great if the year was 1999. But he is 25 years out of date. Tre must go.

To many fairweather players, no grit n grind and no clue what "compete" means. Talent and skills….isn't the same as hardcore. Like comparing DELTA with infantry.

Most of these players don't need the money. What they want it stay in the show. So, why couldn't you just waive them in to AHL to force them to open their no move clauses. Dont think any player would want to spend 7 years or 2 years in the AHL….yeah getting paid but no more NHL ever probably. If thats not a kick in the ass what is?
The Team needs a bench clearing brawl, that make them feel like more as a team. I doubt Matthews cares though, he sulking like all these American superstar Players on Canadian teams.
